Why attack?
by newqatarjob inas someone brought up as a jw and been an elder and been disfellowshipped (twice!!!
) i find it difficult to understand why ex jws have to attack the religion, yes religion, not cult or sect.
i am no longer disfellowshipped just do not want to practice anymore.

To me [a revert to the church], the reason that I left my faith in the first place was because of WTS lies. The 'should you believe in the trinity' booklet and other attacks to my faith from the WTS made me doubt what I believed. As a result, I had to do my own research to determine what was true and what was 'lying for the TRUTH' tm.
WTS deserves ALL of the bad press that it gets on this board.
Any organization that promotes lying because it's own doctrine cannot stand on it's own is deserving of all attacks.
just my humble opinion.

Some Early Church Fathers even ignored the name YHWH
by opusdei1972 ini was reading the bart's answer to terry on th name "jehovah", and i remembered that when i did my personal study about the church fathers of the second century i found that justin martyr ignored the divine name:.
from the first apology of justin martyr:.
... and as many virtues as are peculiar to a god who is called by no proper name.

Is the Watchtower is blind to Jesus' teachings?
by Fernando injesus ate with common sinners declaring that they were in (matt 21:31).. jesus denounced religious leaders declaring that they were out (matt 23 esp v15).. still the watchtower persists in making their own determinations, according to their own rules, who is in and who is out (prov 17:15).
.
this is why the apostate watchtower ruling religious clergy class and hierarchy surreptitiously and contemptuously hate and obfuscate the unabridged gospel which teaches that a right and clean standing is imputed on the basis of grace (faith) and not merit (works).. are their similar instances that come to mind for you?.
