FYI: Something is going on in Brazil that's interesting
by AndersonsInfo inposted on www.christianwitnesses.com.
the federal public ministry at ceara, brazil, on july 14, 2011 filed a civil action against the religion of jehovah's witnesses in the 8th federal court for practicing religious discrimination against former members.
prosecutor nilce cunha rodrigues has taken on official representation of sebastian oliveira (ramos) who, after being expelled from the religion was discriminated against by colleagues, friends and relatives, including his mother, in accord with norms of the jehovahs witnesses who are headed by a governing body of the watchtower society.

This is very good news for me to hear. I have been shunned for 31 yrs by my own children
who have children and grand children that I have never met. I wished this was happening
in Canada also.

Have to agree with Mary. It was one hot afternoon yesterday. I'm also in southern Ontario.
At 9:30 this morning it feels like it is going to be another scorcher.
Oh well it is summer.

What drove you? Love or Fear?
by fade_away inthis has probably been discussed here before, but i'm new so sue me.. i think the religion of jehovah's witnesses has been an amazing but tragic social experiment proving that the mind is most vulnerable to brainwashing when it's in an unhealthy state.
it seems to attract the bipolar, schizophrenic, depressive, and the paranoid.
it preys on negative emotions like sorrow and fear.

I always knew that I served out of fear, and I knew that there was something wrong. I now belong to another religion and the feeling
is just the opposite. I love going to church.

My Story Part I - My Parents
by Farkel inpart 1 - my parents.
it's a funny thing, time.
notwithstanding einstein's relativity, time means vastly different things throughout life.

Thanks Farkel...a lot of similarities to my life except the roles of mother and father reversed.
Looking forward to chapter 2.
