  How much time do you have to put in?

  will anyone please tell me how many hours you have to put in if you are.

  - a publisher.

  - a pioneer (all the different kinds of 'em).

  dgb this is how it is in Watchtower world Eg. I was on my back in agony with prolapsed discs I couldn't move I was in so much pain. My husband was literaly lifting me on the bed onto a potty to go to toilet as I couldn't move. I was on my back for months . Of course I was unable to attend the meetings or go out door knocking.

  An elder finally came to see us. My husband had to put a bed in the lounge for me so the elder walks in the room still holding his bag [didn't even sit down] started hounding me about my ministry and my report. My husband said for goodness sake she is on her back how do you expect her to engage in the ministry.

  Well he said she can write letters can't she, at this point my hubby was getting really angry. He said for goodness sake she can't even sit up and you expect her to write letters. At this point he showed him the door.

  This was just one of many experiences over thirty years. All they were interested in was field service numbers and looking good when the C.O. came to visit, and were irritated if publishers became inactive are missed a months report.

  It's My Birthday

  51 years old, born into the lies, been out of the jws for almost 8 years, but still never had a birthday party (birthday virgin) lol.

  24th july is the day, anyways i was born in new zealand & as they have just entered the 24th i guess it's now my birthday.. where the hell have the years gone especially the last 10?.

  I need to vent.

  i needed to post here to vent.

  because, the person i really want to give a piece of my mind to is an elder and my, sometimes, self-righteous brother.

  twice in my presence, he brought up cases of sisters marrying unbelievers and how they should be "marked" because of marrying outside the "truth".

  Very interesting TD thanks for posting the mormons and the Witnesses are like two bookends holding together two worthless pieces of false prophet literature the book of mormon and the watchtower, doing their normal rants, no one is aloud to question them. They can demonise every other faith including each other but any one dares critisize any of their teachings they throw a giant wobbly and label them apostates.

  Has any body thought of swapping the JW apologists rants over to mormons website and vice versa. Perhaps they can all sleep together and produce a hybred offspring and call them the Russell Rutherford Moroneites. That was my hubbys input . LOL

  even his servants can be idols in the eyes of others.

  if one of his was to give out the answers and truth, how does that draw you and make you put more faith to god himself?

  HI EM enjoyed your comments I can see that you like many of us have had a 'crisis of conscience' as you know once we start doing our homework on thing leads to another. What started to trouble you at first? This forum has been an invaluable tool to listen and to hear other peoples comments and experiences in their 'waking up', we all go through the process of getting it out of our system.

  There is a great deal of knowledge and experience on this forum and every ones testimony is unique. Some on this forum have lost complete faith in God, many have been determined to seek out the Lord, nevertheless most on this forum are being supportive of one another, Russell and Rutherfords teachings have had a deep impact on us all over the years and so many of us have had to rethink the Bible sometimes painfully crashing through uncomfortable barriers that the Holy Spirit is guiding us to do.

  You are correct it is the power of the Holy Spirit that truly guides the Lords people today and not a manmade organistion. The Holy Spirit has been with us since penticost and Jesus promised that it would comfort us and lead us to truth through his word, how on earth did we all manage to miss that. As far as the great crowd is concerned as mentioned in 'Rev 7 v 9' they are before the throne and the lamb. 'Rev 19 v1' they are in heaven not on earth. They come out of a tribulation not through it that seems to harmonise with 'Rev 3 v 10 that you quoted

  'Because you kept my command to persevere I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. ' NKJ
