I also don't understand the point that we suck when we expect a man in one of the most violent sports out there to act like a lamb off of the field, and idolize these people. Anybody get beat up by football players in HS, and have it ignored by the faculty because the players made $$$ for the school? Yeah, me too.

Atheletes should only be role models based on the things they do to help others. Did I enjoy watching Vlade Divac play BBall? Sure. But I'm far more impressed w/ his humanitarian work w/ refugees in Europe. When Katrina happened, he had a donation drive, and drove the truck from Sacramento to New Orleans. Many Atheletes (and others) do these kinds of thing when no one is looking, or because they can. Some don't.

Can we blame our ancestors for our own shortcomings?
by undercover inin a recent thread about an nfl player being allowed to return to play after being convicted and serving time for a felony, it was suggested that maybe his ancestory played a part in his attitudes and actions.. those of you were playing along at home know the deal.... is it fair to lay blame on one's ancestors in how one acts in today's society?.
i think not.... my ancestor's came here from scotland, when their lands were taken from them back home.
they came here with nothing and had to start over in a land with next to nothing, eeking out an existance in the mountains of tn and nc, always struggling.

Apparently not only left the building, but going back to the WTS, still using profanity to describe JWN, and calling it a "hate" site. Wow!
So if that's not the real Warlock over there, let us know!

Yep. The society has been distancing themselves from local cong.s, legally speaking. They might just let the elders swing.

U-I-L was going on and on about the perfection of Jehovah's Legal System, he even had the gall to bring up how just it is that "as long as a woman screams when she is raped" it doesn't matter if nobody hears her, "as long as she screams, she will get justice." Also he was going on about how perfect the 2 witness system is, and how it protects anyone from unjust accusations
jamiebowers: He is obsessed with sex crimes AND sex. That was probably the 10th time that evening that I heard, when he mentioned either rape, sex, or the "sexual filth and perversion of the wicked system." FFS, we were only there for 2 hours!
Feel free to have him Call me or my brother! Look up Tyler Davidow on the web or here, show him the case, if he still wants to talk, I'm hip.
PS, good seeing you around. The world is a much brighter and better place w/ people like you in it.

Exactly. But, several did w/ the child abuse scandal, in the face of intimidation and dirty, dirty, unethical tricks by the WT and their legal staff.
