I'm convinced! If not for religion christianity, we would still be little more than animals living in caves, artless, lawless and bloodthirsty. Why can't those angry atheists just admit this?

Here's a perfect example of why atheists might be angry. Continually having the notion that everything decent, artistic, orderly..........beneficial, is the result of not just religion, but christianity, shoved down our throats. I don't believe for one instant that law order and decency are the fruits of religion. I agree with Nikolas,
Not killing, raping, stealing, cheating and otherwise screwing over your neighbour was what allowed civilisation to develop, not religion.
Human compassion is human, not divine.
I don't see that art music or architecture are a result either. Specific examples of art music and architecture yes, but not just generally.
Because history has NOT shown us that at all, quite the contrary according to just the 20th century ( Stalin, Mao, Po, etc, etc)
Spanish Inquisition, Salem Witch trials, Catholic/Anglican England 1500's, Crusades.............

Most likely the ones who go to community college, are those who have lived here for a very long time. If they have been living here, they have been paying taxes here. They are ineligible for financial aid.
California is one of several states that allows this. Illinois, Kansas, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Washington.
By the way, I don't necessarily agree with it, although there needs to be some provision for children that have lived here thier entire lives. Personally I am against illegal immigration, and not particularly enthusiastic about legal immigration at this point in time.

In the meantime, California is giving illegal immigrants tuition subsidies.

They do not receive subsidies, as the very article you post points out. They are apparently allowed to enroll in colleges at California resident rates, if they have gone to high school in California. I happen to know people from other states in the union, who have sent the kids here to live with relatives to do the very same thing.

I am from New York, the 2nd most screwed up state in the Union. I have relatives in the L.A area who keep me up to date with what is going on out there. I also have a friend that sold his auto parts business in California because the taxes and regulations were crushing him. He set up another parts business out here.
Wow, this is the fourth time in as many months someone has told me this story about a business moving because of taxes/regulations! But they were all about different states! Sorry, anecdotal stories aside, how about some facts and figures? Would these Los Angeles relatives just happen to be Republican? The question was Brown's performance last time around, wasn't it? You had plenty to say for a New Yorker.
What is Governor Moonbeam going to do to fix it? Apply more liberalism? That would be like eating a tablespoon of arsenic because the teaspoon of arsenic made you sick.
Again, can you supply facts and figures? What exactly are you referring to?

Let's see, old bunch - Dems. New bunch - same Dems. Even recycled the Gov that started it all. Unless you are trying to say that it is ALL Washinton's fault and the state government had nothing to do with it.
Are you from California? Doesn't sound like you are familiar.

Mostly on the Conservative Party line. It amazes me that the people on the Left Coast are in deep financial doo-doo, and they re-elect the same bunch that got them there in the first place. Get a clue folks, the experiment failed and the teats are dry.
Huh? We are one of the few states in the Union, that did not re-elect the same bunch that got us here. What short memories Americans have.

Oh here we go again. I own a house in Texas, just outside Dallas, and one in California. The one in Texas hasn't increased substantially in value for 20 years. The one in California shot way up, before coming way down. Who wants to buy a house in Texas?? Much less live there.

If a person is that sensitive to a pat down by a same sex official, maybe they should just stay home. When was the last time you guys went to an Ozzfest?
On the one hand Americans rage that their Gov has not prevented every danger known to man, but they turn around and rage about those preventive measures taken.
