Hi Everyone!

i do lurk at times, i confess lol.
after reading the recent publications at the new golden calf (jw.org), my mind is kind of blown that jw's are still not seeing through the constant adjustments, clarifications, new light and reversals.

I can't exactly disagaree with you Min. But that is such a silly generalization, it's like cotton candy. Flesh it out dude! There are differences. Who votes/governs more in our interests? If we the people actually got together and addressed that question and voted accordingly, we could make a difference.

if they maintained US troops in Iraq there would not be the ISIS that exists right now.
So an unending occupation would have been ok with you? If GWB and Friends hadn't sent us in there for absolutely no good reason, there would not be the ISIS that exists right now. Among other problems directly related to the instability we brought on.
Nov. 2008 GWB administraion signed an agreement for the military to leave Iraq.

Voting and elections
by Powermetal4ever ini've been thinking about the fact that jws dont vote in elections.
the main reason for this, i guess is that they shall not be a part of this world and so on.
there was no election in the times of jesus, so yes i understand that it needs an intepretetion, but why is that intepreted that they shouldnt vote?

I think it's more about being "part of this world". If you participate in worldly goings on, there is the potential for some kind of enlightenment. That is very dangerous to the JWs
