a little advice please.. it's now 7 months since i stopped going to meetings.
we still get regular calls by elders - at least every 2 weeks.
i can handle them.
I am in agreeance with everyone who said to ignore. It may be all sweet letters and I miss you right now but i guarantee you in about 2 more months time when they see its doing little to bring you back to the kingdom hall that the same little girl and whoever else put her up to it will be ignoring you and acting like you don't exist out in public.
Carry on with your fade and making a new life with new friends who aren't just trying to get you to do what they want.

i have friends who are called "worldly people" by jws.
these people are actively involved in feeding the homeless over christmas.
managing thrift shops so they can send financial aid overseas to poorer children.
haven't picked up or read a bible in ages but that ol adage comes to mind in this situation: "by their works you will recognize them".....
is it possible for us to change our like or dislike once cast?

My previous understanding was that if you hit the dislike button by accident, but then immediately hit the like button afterward and refreshed your screen that it would automatically change it to a like and remove the previous dislike. I believe this method has not changed. Simon Correct me if i'm wrong.
only 6 very thin magazines per year and then recycling the propaganda within.. how are your local congregations spinning this?.
i heard a local congo-abongo-i is launching a campaign™ to place as amny magazines as possible in the month (this or next...not sure..sources sketchy).
which i find a bit strange.
One of my family members who’s still in told me that they don’t hand out WT or Bibles as easily anymore. In order to get a bible the person must be a study or progressing enough to the point of becoming regular at the meetings before given one.
That says to me that WT org is getting mega cheap! Lol

we all know that this cult will drive those trying to leave to desperate measures, and today by brother was very nearly one of those statistics.
he slashed his thigh with a kitchen knife and was bleeding out until he called the police.. i got a call on my way home from work from a police officer, coincidentally it was one of my old friends from school who's now a cop.
he told me my brother is in hospital after an attempted suicide and has lost some blood but will be ok. but i should get to the hospital as he's asking for me.
So sorry man. Its so disheartening the damage this org and its loyal blind followers does to families. My heart goes out to you and your brother. Stay strong and do not let the things they are saying deter you from being there for your bro.
I hope he gets well soon.
working late tonight i just thought this up : whenever we used to hear someone say " so and so is not doing well spiritually™ " or "not doing well in the truth™ " what it really means is they aren't doing well climbing the wtbts's corporate ladder or doing their beck and call following the herd cult thingy.

I’ll never forget being called a “maverick” because i would make my own travel plans and arrangements instead of following the traditional method of writing bethel along with sending a letter of introduction from my BOA in order to get any information or qualify for the “privilege”of being told by them where to serve where the need is great. It was always a control thing with this organization
ha, another visit from the jws.... thankfully they are few and far between (seem to roll around whenever the co visits or is about to visit...)an elder and his wife, presenting the magazines and inviting us to the talks, which are "so encouraging".
he had the saddest, most hang-dog expression, as he bemoaned these last days, so critical to deal with, and how the world was getting so terrible, things are so bad, blah blah blah, and every time i looked at her, she smiled encouragingly at me with that bright-eyed, put-on "sincere" smile.
i thanked them for coming, and said, "i appreciate you thinking about us" (after they said how the "missed us" at the meetings, ugh) -- "but we know where the kingdom hall is if we decide to go back.
Give it another 6 months of inactivity on your part. I guarantee That "we miss you" tune will change quickly to you being shunned and avoided completely.

so as some of you know i have a podcast called this jw life.
i put my story out there in 9 parts, and i've had lots of great experiences so far and met lots of nice people and i've made new internet friends, even some in person.
this last seven days though has been soooooo cool!.
