  So my PIMO Younger Brother Tried To Kill Himself Today

  we all know that this cult will drive those trying to leave to desperate measures, and today by brother was very nearly one of those statistics.

  he slashed his thigh with a kitchen knife and was bleeding out until he called the police.. i got a call on my way home from work from a police officer, coincidentally it was one of my old friends from school who's now a cop.

  he told me my brother is in hospital after an attempted suicide and has lost some blood but will be ok. but i should get to the hospital as he's asking for me.

  So sorry man. Its so disheartening the damage this org and its loyal blind followers does to families. My heart goes out to you and your brother. Stay strong and do not let the things they are saying deter you from being there for your bro.

  "not doing well spiritually"

  working late tonight i just thought this up : whenever we used to hear someone say " so and so is not doing well spiritually™ " or "not doing well in the truth™ " what it really means is they aren't doing well climbing the wtbts's corporate ladder or doing their beck and call following the herd cult thingy.

  I’ll never forget being called a “maverick” because i would make my own travel plans and arrangements instead of following the traditional method of writing bethel along with sending a letter of introduction from my BOA in order to get any information or qualify for the “privilege”of being told by them where to serve where the need is great. It was always a control thing with this organization

  A Visit from the JWs, knocking at our door...!

  ha, another visit from the jws.... thankfully they are few and far between (seem to roll around whenever the co visits or is about to visit...)an elder and his wife, presenting the magazines and inviting us to the talks, which are "so encouraging".

  he had the saddest, most hang-dog expression, as he bemoaned these last days, so critical to deal with, and how the world was getting so terrible, things are so bad, blah blah blah, and every time i looked at her, she smiled encouragingly at me with that bright-eyed, put-on "sincere" smile.

  i thanked them for coming, and said, "i appreciate you thinking about us" (after they said how the "missed us" at the meetings, ugh) -- "but we know where the kingdom hall is if we decide to go back.

  Give it another 6 months of inactivity on your part. I guarantee That "we miss you" tune will change quickly to you being shunned and avoided completely.

  It's been a GREAT week for me!

  i put my story out there in 9 parts, and i've had lots of great experiences so far and met lots of nice people and i've made new internet friends, even some in person.

  this last seven days though has been soooooo cool!.

  My Mothers Ultimate Rejection

  i went into my mother's office to leave her a small note to say that we love and miss her and would love to get together.

  Cognitive dissonance and mental gymnastics in social media!

  so over the last few years, the witnesses i know (who were close friends in the past) who follow me on instagram social media have been steadily dropping off and blocking me..... but there are a small number who are still friends.. i have noticed one sad situation for one friend who is clearly battling cognitive dissonance.

  if she posts a picture and i leave a nice comment on it, my comment quickly disappears.

  (she must delete it i guess) but then soon after she sends a nice private message asking how we are, or commenting on the post or activity.

  Siar2 i watch my numbers drop everytime i make a new post too. Lol i guess its hard for some people to see all the fun your having without posting up convention or FS pics.

  To me its a sign of who's real and who's not.

  To Fade or Disassociate

  hello to all, so i did want to talk about this topic because i think it is very important to me.

  i have a grandfather who faded several decades ago.

  he occasionally attends an assembly and the memorial but no longer attends meetings or goes on field service.

  I'm faded now for 2 years. Quiet about my non beliefs yet lost many "Friends" after the spiteful ex i divorced spread rumors around that i was an apostate.

  there are many witnesses that still speak to me and my immediate family have come around to accepting my faded status. Elders no longer harrass me. I live my life free.

  there will be repercussions no matter what choice you decide. Expect to lose people regardless. Do what suits you according to your needs. As for me i still feeling fading was the best route. Those that still choose to talk to me can see that my life hasnt become a shattered mess and that i'm happy and thriving far removed from the borg!!

  well, i went back to the area of my old congregation yesterday.

  my daughter's best friend amanda was getting married, and despite my trepidation, amanda had begged me to show up and to dance a dance with her.

  my trepidation was twofold; first, my ex-wife was going to be there, and after our messy divorce only six months ago, i had no desire to be anywhere where she was.

  I know this is an old topic but i just wanted to say thank you because you have validated everything i am currently going through right now. My ex husband the adulterer is running the exact same tatics that your ex-wife did to you and it amazes me the amount of people who you thought were friends completely drop you without verifying the facts.Its both disheartening and appalling. I enjoyed reading your happy ending, hope i get mines too :)
