Adam and Eve were dying when they were created. Otherwise, why would they have been kept from the Tree of Life?

Adam and Eve and free will
by inbetween inpondering over this dilemma:.
lets just say, for arguments sake, the report in genesis about the first humans is not an allegory, but a true event:.
watchtower teaches, that adam sinned, because he used his free will to disobey.. god grants free will to his human creation, because he wants them to serve him out of love.. ok, good, but i give an example: i meet a girl, tell her, she is free to love me, but if not, i kill her.. would you call this free will ?.

Bible Contradictions
by brotherdan ini will go out on a limb and say that this has probably been discussed alot.
but for my own personal benefit i'd like to hear everyones "favorite" bible contradiction.
i'd also like to hear any refutes that anyone has to any of these contradictions.

Even more confusing, if Jesus supposedly was born from a virgin mother, how does Joseph lineage have anything to do with Jesus? He wasn't his father.

Sept.15th WT - WT Society uses Guilt & Fear to Avoid Friendship & Internet
by flipper inonce again my wife and i were sent the " witness only " wt version by our lurking jw friend that they study at wt study meetings.
and once again wt society is showing very controlling tendencies towards it's jw members.. do any of you remember the " old days " in the 1970's or early 1980's when witnesses used to have goody night after book study ?
or you would have a " potluck picnic " with about 30 to 40 people getting to know one another to draw close as friends outside the confines of the kingdom hall ?

SABASTIOUS- Yeah, I know. I wasn't born yesterday, I know the WT society has been saying this same stuff for years - however- the WORDS and TERMINOLOGY they use is getting more aggressive as their failed " generation " theory keeps failing. They are becoming MORE controlling in their wording.
I would say the WT is in yet another "peak" in their teachings. These peaks are always followed by an exodus of members. 1975 and 1995 were alos peaks.

What's your agnostic number? (Atheists and Christians are Agnostics rounded to the nearest integer)
by pirata ina christian believes that there's 100% (1) possibility that there is a god.. an atheist believes that there's 0% (0) possibility that there is a god.. the perfectly balanced agnostic feel's that there's a 50% (0.5) possibility that god exists.
various environmental factors cause agnostics to to lean to one side or the other, and possibly round to the nearest integer.. what's your current number?.
i think i'm currently a 0.3..

I hate these constant comments that generalise all worldly people in a negative light. It is so inaccurate yet the constant repetition make JWs start to actually believe it.
I laugh at those kind of WT vs World statements, they are so full of fail.

by Quillsky inalice, i have a sense that you've dug yourself a hole on this forum and don't know how to get out of it.. you would probably like to engage and share your stories as most of us do here, and as you've done in your child abuse thread, but you've created an antagonistic persona that makes it difficult for many to empathize with your real life concerns and experiences.. i suggest that you retire your "alice in wonderland" moniker and return as a normal poster, a jw with doubts.
