Living a good normal life is good enough.
For me, I can't live a good and normal life until I squelch the anger... And the enemy of anger is forgiveness.

i was abused by my father growing up.
physically and emotionally.. as a entered my adult life i had next to no self esteem, in part because he didn't really attempt to help me get some because i didn't chose the career path that he dreamed for me.. 2 years ago i forgave him.
i let go of the anger that i had for him because i knew that when it was all said and done, he did what he did and i believe that he did his best.

luke 17: 26-35: 26"just as it was in the days of noah, so also will it be in the days of the son of man.
27people were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day noah entered the ark.
then the flood came and destroyed them all.. 28"it was the same in the days of lot.
Of course those passages from Genesis do seem to imply that this corruption of man had an outside source, the sons of God and the Nephilim.
This is an interesting concept for me since I have not given it much thought.
This would indicate that the Flood *could* have been necessary because of a contamination in the gene pool and the Flood was actually a "purge."

I don't think you need an established code to know the violence and mayhem are wrong.
Then why did God give Moses the 10 commandments?

Judgment day will came, unannounced and no one knows when it will happen or can predict it
This statement is just odd to me. "Just as the days of Noah" also means, to me, that there will be a warning taking place. Which contradicts the "a theif in the night" mentality.

I'm glad. We don't have to take these discussions too seriously, you know.
^ Don't take my boyish laughter to kindly, this is STILL serious BIZ!
I believe the thrust of Jesus' words is that people, although warned, would not take heed.
When I read the scripture I quoted in my OP, I don't see any reason to think that it is ONLY mentioning those days because of the public's apathy alone. It also makes sure to mention mass killing of most of the human race, that wasn't put in there for nothin'.

Well, according to the account, it wasn't a question of immorality, it was a question of them "running amok" doing all kinds of horrible violent stuff:
Yeah, I didn't remember the actual accusation of the people so I just defaulted to "too immoral."
Yet again, why are they being held to any code?

Really ?
What part?
The text I quoted from you is the very premise of the Watchtower theology.

Not sure what you mean...
God explicitly states that a main factor for getting rid of the humans (except Noah) was because they were "too immoral" or something along those lines.
My point is that where is this code or law they were being held to by penalty of instant death (instead of gradual death, which is the documented punishment for sin).

I think I worded that wrong, sorry, there is JUDGMENT ( where all those that have not knwo Christ will knwo and choose) and THEN "destruction".
Ok, that makes more sense.
