by Cold Steel ini've seen evangelical sites that show dinosaurs dying in the great flood.
these people believe that god created the earth in seven 24-hour days, and have wondered that if god could just "speak" the earth into existence, why he would need the other six days.
(couldn't he just will it into existence in a flash?).

Jehovah provides for pioneers but takes no action on behalf of children being abused
by jambon1 inthis was something that i could never get my head around.. i recall being at a convention and a pioneer couple (who happened to be complete arseholes) were talking about how they had had this bill for a car repair & 'didn't know what they were going to do so they prayed about it & waited on jehovah'.
the bill was for 66.73 & within a few days they had returned home to find an electricity rebate made out to them for 66.73. et voila!
all sorted out.

People that slow way down for a stop sign but don't actually stop but they claim to have stopped.
It makes zero sense.
When you slow down to 1 or 2 miles per hour you have stopped no better then a driver that has blown through the stop sign without even lighting the brake lights.
You are a perfect idiot if you slow down and call it stopped

I have no idea where the statement is from that I posted. It was credited to a foreigner and that's how I presented it.
Regardless of it's origin I'd say it's true, and I'd also say it applies for several of the last presidents of this country.
Thespians and musicians are performers, they have mastered the art of an act, outside of that they are useless. Why any one of them is considered a reliable source of knowledge is a wonder.
Garofalo is very good at her art, outside of that she is as useless. I've enjoyed a few things she's performed in.

Question About Breast Photographs

i have a fairly serious but gently light-hearted question.. i am on my out the door to meet a friend for consultion with a surgeon who specializes in breast surgery.
the reason for the consultation is that breast mri and biopsy shows possible cancerous lesions.

by Lozhasleft inanother thread has set me off ...the one about anniversaries ...and i read an extract that blondie posted on there....suddenly i am soooo bl**dy furious...so indignant!!!!.
why did we allow a bunch of men to dictate to us not only what we believed, but even how we parented our kids,and then even how we spent our free time?????

I've avoided talking to my mother for the last 27 years because of the unusual inner workings of her polluted mind. Just as your mother did, mine is also capable of unimaginably weird utterances.
Until your moms eyes are opened you won't be able to have a normal relationship, try to avoid delaying any life bettering decisions, hopping she'll come around first.
Don't forget that she is under the influence of a cult.
