a refresher for newcomers and a reminder for everyone else.. posting a response to a message or starting a topic, unless it is listed under the members only menu, is open to public viewing by anyone.
this includes photographs or personal discussions and it is easy to forget that you are on a public board sometimes during heated debate where you may forget that the topic has been started in an open room and not a private one.. i would also remind people that leaving your computer open to jwn once you log on or your password available to others, in an unsupervised capacity, may provide access to this forum and all the private postings, pictures and data on it to anyone, including those who should not or do not honestly wish to engage in appropriate discussion.
just an fyi.

What if you could say or do just the right thing guaranteed to make that special someone feel loved? The secret is learning the right love language! Millions of couples have learned the simple way to express their feelings and bring joy back into marriage: The 5 Love Languages, Dr. Gary Chapman’s New York Times bestseller! Words of Affirmation—Actions don’t always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, “I love you,” are important—hearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.
Actions don’t always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, “I love you,” are important—hearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.
In the vernacular of Quality Time, nothing says, “I love you,” like full, undivided attention. Being there for this type of person is critical, but really being there—with the TV off, fork and knife down, and all chores and tasks on standby—makes your significant other feel truly special and loved. Distractions, postponed dates, or the failure to listen can be especially hurtful.
Don’t mistake this love language for materialism; the receiver of gifts thrives on the love, thoughtfulness, and effort behind the gift. If you speak this language, the perfect gift or gesture shows that you are known, you are cared for, and you are prized above whatever was sacrificed to bring the gift to you. A missed birthday, anniversary, or a hasty, thoughtless gift would be disastrous—so would the absence of everyday gestures.
Can vacuuming the floors really be an expression of love? Absolutely! Anything you do to ease the burden of responsibilities weighing on an “Acts of Service” person will speak volumes. The words he or she most want to hear: “Let me do that for you.” Laziness, broken commitments, and making more work for them tell speakers of this language their feelings don’t matter.
This language isn’t all about the bedroom. A person whose primary language is Physical Touch is, not surprisingly, very touchy. Hugs, pats on the back, holding hands, and thoughtful touches on the arm, shoulder, or face—they can all be ways to show excitement, concern, care, and love. Physical presence and accessibility are crucial, while neglect or abuse can be unforgivable and destructive
So what do you guys think? Anyone have experieence with this? Opening room for discussion...no wrong opinion.....unless you think we should sacrifice a goat to Satan.

back in 2001 or 2002, a jw sister who i consider it as a friend confided in me that his son got df'd, she told me about all of the details.
he tried not to get df'd.
he started explaining to the elders why he committed fornication with another jw sister(also got df'd) is that he personally watched his uncle shot himself in the head.

I'm sorry you went through that sweetie...i'm sure others that have been in similar situation can understand your pain. You're not alone.

good news!.
the dutch kingdom ministry shows the following statement:.
this year (2010) 43.372 persons attended the memorial, 100 persons took of the symbols.. the 2009 attendance figure was 51.578.. this means that 8.206 went missing in one single year, a plunge of 16%.. i get the impression that the partakes figure is going up as they now avoid the term "annointed".. .
hm
the number of people attending may be going down, but i thought the number of people partaking was going up?
in the uk we are encouraged to make our donations by bank direct debit.
i just wondered if anyone knows if a direct debit is stopped whether the local kh the doner attended gets informed?.
my husband stopped his donation some time before we completely ceased attending meetings and he has always wondered whether the elders knew.
this is new to me...but i've been out for 11-12 years. I don't know if they do that in the US
