the big day finally arrived!
these amazing royal commission proceedings are available on youtube :).
part 1 has been uploaded and part 2 will soon be available.. part 1:.
a little taste for everyone who could not watch the hearing live .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvypugzk59o&feature=youtu.be.
the rest is coming soon!.
Thanks for the snippet. Looks promising. Looking forward to watching the complete uploads. Again, many thanks for the effort you're putting in to make these available!!!
i emailed mr. stewart about jackson's testimony, asking if the video link would be visible to the public.. this was his prompt reply:.
thank you dianne for your interest.
the it people tell me that mr jackson will be on the screen for all to see and hear.regardsangus stewart.
so i got coerced into watching this crap last night.
a few observations:.
1) it personified the witness mantra that doing more for the org = happiness, doing not enough = misery.
since we are using the live hearing recordings to make videos etc.
i thought it would be a good idea to have the hearings available with synced sound (the stream recording messes up the audio sync).. day 3 part 2 also had a segment missing around the 30 minute mark, this has been included in the synced version.. so here is day 3 synced, it is hard to get it perfect:.
part 1:.
tell our jw family members, door knockers, and stand sitters that you were very impressed.
by the branch overseer and other elders in australia, they gave a fine witness.. so what will happen, they will tell their friends the brothers in australia gave a fine.
witness.
the branch manual reveals the following:.
chapter 3., par 62 data protection policy, section c: if a data subject request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data or sensitive personal data about himself, the organization will fairly consider granting the request by balancing the interests of the individual in gaining access or correcting or deleting data against the legitimate religious interests of the organization, including whether granting the request would endanger the organization's right to religious freedom and practice."d.
"the organization has an interest in permanently maintaining data regarding an individual's status as one of jehovah's witnesses.
Well, they should not be permanently maintaining data - at least in the UK, and I'm sure in many other countries.
Principle 5 states:
Personal data processed for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes.
If they are keeping data permanently regarding UK citizens then they are in breach of UK Data Protection Law.
I would expect the same will also apply in most developed countries.
i always sit in the same spot, just outside starbucks in a vestibule area with a table in the air-conditioned space.
i say "always," but not today.. somebody with two laptops and a table filled with business ledgers was in "my" favorite spot!.
so, i took a tiny wooden table inside the coffee shop on a long padded bench next to 3 other identical tables.. as the clickbait banner ads like to say: "and what happened next was simply unbelievable!".
That's brilliant Terry. I like how you used 'Theocratic Warfare' ;)
I get what you're saying about feeling you've hurt those guys. Sure you might have gained some personal satisfaction, but to evoke the emotional reactions you did is ultimately a gift for them. What you've really offered is a kindness that may help them and people they know. Sometimes it takes something like this coming out of the blue and with a shock factor to bypass their pre-programmed responses.
All in all I think you did really well how you led them in to it and then launched the bombshell. Have you been watching Angus Stewart by any chance? ;) :D
apparently the backroom arguments have been heard and decided.
the royal commission finally uploaded a redacted version of the 2015 branch manual.
watchtower lawyers were looking to have as much redacted from this manual as possible.
And this is the UNREDACTED version from 2003:
