What's the best cover version of a song you've ever heard?
by VampireDCLXV inthe title pretty much says it all.. it's true that there are many classics that simply can't be topped but it doesn't stop people from trying anyway.
and what do ya know; occasionally someone does succeed.
here i will post at least one notable example.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-o9gf_sofbm&p=301f39587863d18d&playnext=1&index=3.

Calling all PAGANS....
by VampireDCLXV insince i don't know what to believe about "god" right now, i'm wondering what a pagan's take on all this is.
consider this a roll call for any and all pagan types out here.
whether you consider yourself pagan, neo-pagan, poly-theist, wiccan or whatevs, i'd like to hear from ya.

After leaving the religion ( I think we all know the one), I felt a deep hunger inside to be embraced by nature like never before. Wanted so much to just roll around in anything to do with the potency and beauty of the herbs, flowers, trees, moon , ocean, dance, my body.. my mysterious, wild , magical side.
found myself absorbed in it all..and anything otherworldy..daydreaming of the native americans, celts, any raw and earthy people
naturally,i came to pagans and witches ..pagan essentially means 'country dweller'. that sounded sweet to me. and it was so good to read that our roots are pagan. Rituals and practices have come from intuitive people in touch with the earth, its rythms and cycles and listening to their own bodies, and the spiritual aspect that connects people to it all (side-thought:just remembered the movie avatar and the tree and the connectedness). The more I learn about it all, the more graceful and intelligent it seems. There is a profound appreciation for life that pagans seem to have. Very sensual, and also very spiritual.. i like what i know of it...

My Family
by alice.in.wonderland into those that have accused me of insensitivity about abuse:.
my father and his brother and sisters were raised by a man who became rich in the 1950s.
he owned a construction company during a housing boom in a metropolitan area.
