Understanding that YOU have become the Sin Eater
by Terry infirst, we define: sin eater.
the term sin-eater refers to a person who, through ritual means, would take on the sins of a household.. exposition:.
what the religion of jehovah's witness has become has created a repository of psychological damage for its adherents.. a sickness of soul in the rank and file afflicts families with dysfunction and discord.

Sparlock spotted in Taiwan
by Steve_C inno, not 'made in taiwan,' but actually in taiwan.. i thought you might enjoy some photos of yours truly engaging in heathen activities while wearing my new sparlock t-shirt.
i'm not really a taoist/buddhist, but sporting the warrior wizard shirt while burning incense in the temple made me feel like some kind of naughty double-apostate .
the one-hundred+ year-old wu fu ("five fortunes") temple, near my apartment.

Who On This Site Would You Like To Meet?
by minimus inthere are a lot of interesting people that frequent this site.. sometimes, we get an idea of what the posters are really like in "real life".
and i'm sure i could be easily surprised by some that you think might be strong personalities because of their board presence, and in reality, they might be shy in a face to face setting.. i would enjoy meeting simon.
simon used to be terribly annoyed by my posting and now i think he's accepted with tolerance my being here.. farkel seems like a grouchy cantankerous fellow but i think he'd be very interesting company!.

Thanks Diest! Back at you!
I'd like to meet everyone here.
We have a pretty unique connection having come out of 'it' alive.
I'm very very grateful that this site is here, so many have shared their heart-wrenching stories, their brilliant humor, and wisdom.
A few that come to mind that really made me feel welcome~

So, I'm probably not an Infidel, per se..
by freeflyingfaerie init's becoming apparent that there are a zillion different names for a zillion different beliefs/non-beliefs out there.
without pigeon-holing myself under a particular definition, there are a few of which i can pretty closely identify with for the time being.
maybe agnostic, and then also appreciating the freethought pansies.

And it was exactly the same desire, the need to find an explanation for our existence, which led some ancient ancestors to come up with a story (in fact, MANY different stories) to solve the discomfort of NOT having an answer.
It is a tragedy that many of those stories became nitemares.
It may just happen that I will die an agnostic..
What's wonderful is that even not knowing the answers......the sunset is still beautiful, the human spirit is still full of heart, and mangos are still just as sweet..

rbih~ That kind of concept has crossed my mind before...that is funny. It's all relative, in a way..
The journey has been rough at times, bliss sometimes.
I lost all friends and family over it. That is a book in itself. Ive been in dark places with it all...
And then I heal, and am sooooooo grateful that I have a new take on life...it can be exhilarating

INFP's are always infidels. There free spirited nature leaves them little room to float with controling assholes.
LOL! You know me well, even though we don't know each other!

Hello Oracle~ I absolutely do agree with you...came to those same conlusions
rbih~ I had serious doubts four summers ago..out for good in January 2009. I've been on that 'not care' kick too...sometimes I feel I have to probe deeper, though and deal with those subconcious lingerings..
p.s., couldn't get that link...
