I never read the yearbook when I was a JW & I always detested the experiences during the 'boasting' sessions at the conventions when some Uber JWs gets on stage to show off.

Wierdest Yearbook experience EVER 1967 A "talking snake" silenced by an African Witness!!!
by Witness 007 inyearbook 1967 p.105 "{chad -africa}.....a large crowd was follwing a man who had a talking serpent.
the serpent gave greetings and spoke in foriegn tongues...a brother was passing by and attracted by the commotion, he went to the house...as soon as he entered the room the serpent stopped talking.
the man cried out: "a magican has entered the room"...the brother said: "is that a serpent or a demon that is talking to you?...i know that since god created the animals not one sepent has spoken, with the exception of the one in the begining in the garden of eden...seeing that the serpent remained silent the man left the building...later he was anxious to get some literature....".

I think women have to share some of the blame for men not being as 'manly' as they once were.
How many times have women criticised their man for........
not looking like the men in your magazines
not being romantic
not showing his feelings
not understanding her moods
not helping with the house chores
not looking after the kids
not shaving his body hair off
not making her feel special.............
And the trouble is men are finally taking notice of what you women say you want in a man & you suddenly change your minds again!!

Generation 'New Light' is Actually Working
by zoiks inas ridiculous as it seems to me and most of you, the infamous 'generation' update has every jw that i know in a tizzy.
they're all worked up about how 'exciting' it all is.
i just received a letter from my mom (she only communicates through letters now), and she brought it up - how they carefully explained it at the convention, and how it shows that we are so close to the end.. unbelievable.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Circuit overseers squirm at the thought of trying to pass off the 'new light' on this one.
Either they have utter contempt for us R&F as we sit gormless in front of them listening to the clap trap or they are so fearful of the consequences for themselves if they do tow the line that this fear overrides their conscience.

Something else the JW's I've talked to seem to think is, it only involves the anointed on the GB in Brooklyn having to overlap generations as they have to have spoken to each other!!!
'Evidently' a little brown wrinkly 'anointed' sheep herder in outer Mongolia doesn't count, just the big guns in Brooklyn.
'Evidently' even the circuit overseers are confused as the final talk of their visit aims to explain the 'new light' & each CO seems to have a unique explanation.
Why are the 'anointed' GB members too proud to admit they do not know???

JWs in UK appealing for charity donations for beds
by edmond dantes inwhile the watchtower leaders smugly bury their glorious leaders and eulogise about their dedication to jehovah i.e.
watchtower publishing company , their brothers and sisters of the lower order in the uk are begging for charitable donations through the jah jireh care home home site.. it seems as if some of the millions who will never die are now doing just that and are in need of urgent help because armageddon or cloud cuckoo land as it is known to the sane, refuses to show up.. maybe the past w/t presidents who have reached their sell by dates residing in the heavenly realm can speed things up a little.. if you would like to make a donation go to the jah jireh website and check out the latest news..

I think its a good thing nobody gets or even notices the generation change "new light"
by cognac inno matter what the society does to try to attempt to fix this generation debacle, there is no way they can ever get it in jwa minds that the end will come past 2014.. nobody even gets or understands the change.
nobody cares.
generation will always mean to them up to 100 years!

I hope you're right Amber............the 'last straw' that will wake them up to reality!
I know elderly ones that just put on a front to hide the despair they feel inside for being taken in by the shysters in Brooklyn during the 1960's & the years leading up to 1975.....................yes they regret it totally but still feel afraid to turn their back on the JW faith.

The overlapping of generations was totally glossed over according someone I know that went to the WT study yesterday!
No-one made a comment about it!!
Could the reason for this be that the dubs are finally so shell shocked at all the changes to the 'generation' that their trust in the FDS/GB is rather fragile & no-one wants to talk about the changes?

2010 DC - not going (yay)
by Soldier77 inso without giving too much info away so that someone might id me, i have to travel a long distance to get to any dc.
so i'm making plans to take a trip to the states to spend time with family, and my mother asks me about attending the dc.
i said, look, i have limited time when i take a trip there and you want me to spend three days sitting on my ass listening to the same ole bullshit?

No one in my immediate family is going this year.............even the ones that believed 100000000% & used lap up the cool aid. I think the ridiculous generation change has made them realise it just ain't worth the effort anymore.
I haven't attended DC's for over 5 years...............The last DC I went to I just sat there listening to the same ole bilge coming from the platform & wondered what the heck am I doing here. I'm never going to another!
