  Calling all posters! What are YOUR questions for Candace Conti, Rick Simons and Kelly Kraetsch?

  i am pleased to announce that candace conti, and her key lawyers rick simons and kelly kraetsch are planning a youtube video to answer any questions that people in our community may have regarding the recent conti v watchtower lawsuit.

  i have offered to coordinate the gathering of these questions, and i thought it might be fun to do it in a "competition" style jwn thread, with the best answers being chosen by kelly, rick and candace to be addressed in the video.. as you can imagine, there are some provisos to this.... this is an active lawsuit, so for obvious legal reasons kelly, rick and candace will have the absolute and final decision as to which questions are answered and how much information is divulged when they are answered.we need the answers in the next 7 days, so the "cut off" for this competition is exactly 7 days from the time this thread goes live on jwn.we kindly request that all questions are asked in a respectful manner without any malicious or offensive intent.

  This is a great thread. One of the things that has helped me a little is to show my loved one sections of the elder book. This has surprised them and convinced them that hypocrisy abounds. I have also shown them copies of recent letters to the BOE that deal with molestation and porn.

  Another angle that has been sucessful is pointing to the recent cost cutting measure done by the society in terms of branch closures, property sales and publishing changes, and asking "if branch dedications and expansion of facilities and publications are evidence of God's spirit blessing the work, what are the closures, sales and cost cutting measures evidence of? "

  I have come to realize that some people will never wake up, simply because they need someone to tell them how to think and act. They need the cult more than it needs them.

  Mouthy you are a legend. I applaud everything you have done to free the ones trapped in the cult and all of the others who have done so also. Your efforts are invaluable, and I realize that there are many who have carried the torch with success.

  The Watchtower Penitentiary

  learning the truth about the watchtower society can be very painful for a number of reasons.

  first, it is so disconcerting to realize that the core of your existence and the foundations of your beliefs are false that it can throw you for a real loop.

  as witnesses we are so confident in all of the answers we have been given, to questions that we never asked, that we mentally put ourselves up on a pedestal above the masses of poor, blind, wicked humanity.

  i'm not sure where this thought came from (believers will no doubt say 'from satan'), but it has started to coalesce in my brain lately.

  i've often referred to the bible and argued from it to debunk jw beliefs, and still tried to consider it as a great piece of literature at the very least.

  but as my wife was listening to the meeting on a loud speaker phone at home this weekend, i just had this thought.
