  i did not know where to start, but figured the personal experience section was a good place to begin.

  won't bore you with all the particulars today....but i was raised in "it" (wont call it the truth, cause it ain't) from about 1968. baptized in 1985, faded about 2001.....woke up from the insanity after reading ray franz forbidden book a few years ago(crisis).

  only sorry i did not read it earlier....but there was that fear factor instilled in me.

  i am a twenty-eight year old ex-witness.

  at the age of fifteen i had developed an alcohol and drug problem mainly due to my dysfunctional upbringing.

  my parents were divorced at a young age causing my mother to run to the witnesses for emotional support and fellowship during a trying time.

  I'm afraid David Icke became the object of a lot of ridicule when he started spouting all that stuff. He was a sports commentator who started wearing turquoise shellsuits, saying they were a protection against..... bummer can't remember now....but it was something weird.

  Anyways he got scoffed at a lot and no one took him seriously, still don't.

  i read this in a terry pratchett book the other day and it made me smile so i thought i would share it.

  Yes it is.

  @ Alice the WTs group leader isn't Christ it's the GB. They have changed songs in the new song book to give credit to the GB in places where it used to give credit to Christ.

  Dealing with the reality of death. How do you?

  since i've come to the realization and conclusion that i've been living a fictional lifestyle for the last 17 years, i've also come to identify with agnosticism.. .

  but one issue that's been taking it's emotional toll on me lately is the realization of the fictitious paradisiac earth.. it was the ultimate goal as a witness- the answer to everything.

  even if you had questions that couldn't be answered, you were to "wait until the paradise and ask" when you got there.. .

  Confliction

  It took me several years to get used to the idea that I was going to live forever in a paradise earth.

  When I left it took me just a few months to accept that it was really ok to die, and because of my faith in God and his Son I know there is something way way better.

  I will admit to feeling depressed to begin with, but it passed. I am now getting a life and not feeling guilty every time I do something just for me, (like sleeping in on saturdays and sundays). Enjoy your life, leave your mark, be kind to others and just be happy and not waste a moment. Become what you would have if you had never been part of the WT. They steal peoples lives, don't let them steal anymore of yours.
