How Many People Are Still Happy That They Married Their Mate?
by minimus ini know of someone that has made no bones about being somewhat unhappily married.
they got married because they "fooled around" and felt it was the "right thing to do".. i wonder how many people are unhappily married?

Do you dress your pets?
by Snoozy inas a child i had many cats and delighted in putting my doll clothes on them and rocking them in the rocking chair..i would even make a tent on my mom's bed and put them in it like they were in a cave..i had a great imigination... they would tolerate it for a while and then decide the fun was over..picky cats.... so if you have animals do you dress them up now?
or did you or your kids dress them up?
they looked so cute!.

Hi Inkie, thanks for sharing your story.
I have found that I NO LONGER need to search for them for I have been found by them.
I understand this comment completely. I searched from when I was a child, and I feel that's why I was misled by the WTBTS. I too thought they knew all about God and Christ. My search is now over and at last I can relax in the sense I am no longer wondering/doubting whether I have the truth or not.
I am no longer suffering within the confines of the WTBTS and all the restraints it puts upon you. I still suffer sometimes from deep sadness, guilt and grief for having raised my children in that cult, but it only lasts for a short while and my Lord always, always gives me comfort.
I am free in the freedom of Christ and really enjoying getting used to the experience.
Peace to you dear brother and fellow slave and may you and your household be blessed now and forever.

Child Abuse At The Meetings
by Hairyhegoat inplease read and i will tell you now this was it was like for me !.
kingdom halls are a hellish memory for me.
i grew up as a jehovah's witness from the age of 9 until i fought my way to freedom at age 18. i recall children as young as a year old being beaten repeatedly for not sitting still during services...some sessions, called assemblies, were 6 hours long and lasted for 3-5 days in succession.. my nephew was one of many who felt the literal sting of the watchtower's stance of "spare the rod, spoil the child.

I was a terrible fidget at the meetings and I was an adult, so there was no way I was going to smack my girls for doing the very same thing.
When my brain was becoming numb I used to get up and go out the back. I could count to 30 and my girls would appear lol. We very often wasted 15/20 minutes of the precious meeting times having a little chat, usually about what we were going to have for suppper.
D/yours - Wake up.......it's child abuse. I used to be beaten as a child and I don't look back on it with any affection or fondness at all. It hurt then and it hurts now when I think about it.

Hi little canleave how you doing?
I didn't put our decorations up until 3 days before christmas day because I felt so guilty. The guilt was because I had denied my girls christmas when they were growing up and it felt so bad to be doing it now. Your mom and dad have done the right thing for you and your sister, they are very brave and are putting you both first.
We all spent christmas together and my grandaughter had a fabulous magical time. The scars of the WT are leaving us all at last.
So little man cub, enjoy your life and may this be a long, long thread just for you.
Peace
