I shall just smile and say a greeting even if they ignore me, after all they may very well need a friend one day. I find it too time consuming to hold a grudge or even hate these people.
They are lost in a world of mind control.

How do you deal with shunning ?
by man in black inmy wife and i da'ed ourselves two years ago.
she left because she felt there was no forward momentum in the congregation.. me: because i really started to notice the lack of love and concern amoungst "true christians".
we have gotten to the point now where we will say hello to any jw's we run into, but the total avoidance thing is starting to get somewhat creepy to me.. example : my wife was in target several weeks ago, put her items on the belt and was getting ready to checkout.

I agree with YKnot and Sabastious, it's probably to stop ones getting together and discussing the noo light in relaxed surroundings. Nothing gets the tongue looser than a cup of coffee and a choccy bicky.
I know when the brothers were disfellowshipped from Bethel last year, everyone was told NOT to get together to do personal study anymore.
You know what they say, if you read the bible independently you will be an apostate within two years. I only read Galations and I could see that they were the apostates lol

My daughter asked me this today.

for example, recently twin baby girls were attacked in their cots while their parents were down stairs.
both suffered life changing injuries.. my daughter knows a couple who have waited years for a baby and eventually had i.v.f.

She asked me why God didn't step in to stop tragedies. For example, recently twin baby girls were attacked in their cots while their parents were down stairs. Both suffered life changing injuries.
My daughter knows a couple who have waited years for a baby and eventually had I.V.F. The babies were born at 27 weeks and because of that they have disabilities, cerebral palsey, deafness etc,. The new mom says she can't understand why this has happened to her, to her babies.
What about Children that are abused... I could go on but I think you get the picture.
My daughter wants to know if God is real and has the power to stop these bad things, why doesn't he. She doesn't mean bring an end to mankind but just step in and stop these things happening (bit like Superman I think).
She left the Org when she was 18 years old and one of the reasons was because of this question.
What are your thoughts... In a way I'm dreading thislol

What I have come to understand about AGuest is this;
No matter how nasty, rude, aggressive you are towards her, she will still come back and say she loves you.
When ones attack her (which they do and often) I always think to myself 'your wasting your time, you'll not rile her.'
She's cool and I for one enjoy her posts. She's totally trustworthy.

i was once counseled for not shaving after two days.
i was also counseled by a sister for eating lucky charms cereal.

Got counselled for having a car that was 'too new'.
One year we were away on holiday just before christmas and a staff member put an add in the local paper. Because it was the christmas edition holly was put around the advert. Got busted for that saying we should have more control over our staff.
Not a problem now because we stopped putting our business first and lost it last year along with our house.
I know, I know we need a slap up the back of our heads. But at least we're out and free.
