  HOW the Watchtower holds its members

  during the great depression in the 1930's people lost their jobs, banks closed and long lines formed in the streets called "bread lines".. you had to stand in line all day to get a free loaf of bread to feed your family!.

  in a cabin in the appalachian mountains there was a family of four.

  two children (a boy and a girl), a mom and a dad who had lost his job.

  i have 2 rings and a watch.

  2 diamond rings and a diamond bezeled rolex.

  other than that, i don't wear anything else.. my ex loved (still loves) jewelry and she's got an unbelievable collection of goodies....what aboutchoo?

  this will sound pathetic i am sure...but....the nicest piece of jewelry i own came from target for under $10.00....it looks like black on-x...(spelling) it is really very beautiful....ALOT of people have commented on it....i just love it,,,even if it is "junk".....peaches

  Did you ever play this legalistic JW game?

  i remember years ago playing a game at gatherings wherein the object was to get into the new system.

  they would hold up a nwt or a knowledge book (or similar)and after clearing their throat would state the name of the book that they were holding and state that if you read it and apply it you would get into the new system.

  after which you were told whether or not you made it into the new system by precisely repeating what you had heard.

  Hilarious youtube responses to bill collectors

  i am sure everyone has heard the horror stories about how ruthless bill collectors can be.

  theatening lawsuits, garnishments, calling your job, family and neighbors, etc.

  even trying to collect debts from the wrong individual.. 1st youtube recording is from a guy who called the collection agency himself after he was promised by the bill collector the police would be showing up at his door.

  before you go to the store or where ever,,,plan ahead of things you could say to people you might like to meet...like if your in a grocery line,,,something as simple as ..."can you believe the price of these magazines??" ok,,,it sounds corny,,,but...you get the idea..

  is it unusual for jw's to take in a newly baptized person and support that person if they have no money/income of their own?.

  i have been out of the wt for 30 years now, but i know a lot of things just don't change all that much.

  the daughter of some people i recently met came to me for help last year.
