not likely anytime soon in the US where in most states you can still be fired from your job or kicked out of your home
just for being gay.

Do you know where the first person you had sex with, lives now?
by free2beme ini was actually baptized in my early 20's, so i spent some time as a teen and early twenties doing things that were not witness-like.
one of those things was sex out of marriage and to be honest, i have no regrets.
i have wondered though sometimes, where is that person i shared such a landmark moment with in life.

All right cut the crap.... why are we fighting over the Big News?
by Check_Your_Premises inif the big news is legit, someone will file suit and win.. if it is the big snooze one of the above will not happen.
nothing we do or say here will bear on the outcome of the above.
if you think it is the big news, by all means promote it as such.

It had been a year since I had been home due to my psychological problems this year. Mitch went with me. My niece Gwyn and my sister in law Wanda were there along with three of the great grand kids.
It was a nice visit. I was a bit tense about my niece and wanda's reaction to spending the day with Mitch, but they seemed to take it in stride. Gwyn interacted with him quite a bit which pleased me.
I got to play with the great grandkids and talk and laugh with Gwyn. Gwyn was like my best friend growing up. Now I only get to see her about once a year. Her husband is morally outraged by my homosexuality.
My delivery baby was named Dr. Gay. I kid you not. My dad told us that his sister used the same doctor for her 2nd child, a boy who turned out to be gay. He also had two work associates whose wives used the same doctor and their sons? you guessed it, gay gay gay gay gay. I found this to be a fascinating story.
Dad and Mitch had a nice visit. The kids did get on our nerves a bit but not too bad.
So, really my nephew in law is the last die hard anti-Joel person in the family. Unfortunately that still keeps me out of a lot of what goes on.

The fear of "spontaneous sex"
by free2beme inwhen i was young and single and a witness.
i remember often the fear older people had of putting young people together alone.
not just for dating, but even leaving them in a car while an older couple went to a return visit.

as with so many things Watchtower it wasn't the spiritual safety of the young people they were worried about, it was the appearance of things.
big deal to the society always, how do things appear.

Gay Cowboy Movie
by joelbear inbrokeback mountain ang lee.. oh man, i am so excited about this movie.
i've read the short story by annie proulx.
it is excellent.. and they aren't dying of aids or dressed up in drag, that is so mmi.

I was impressed with this movie. no overt nudity or sexual activity. they did show breasts ew.
it told the story of a helluva lot of men, myself included. i would not admit to myself that I was a queer.
mitch and i thought the scene where one said I ain't queer and the other said, me neither was hysterical.
we simultaneously leaned towards each other and went "me neither". what a hoot.
its a beautiful movie and anyone who cares to see how painful it is to come to grips with ones
homosexuality, no matter what their opinion of homosexuals is, should see the movie.

regular, like once a year?
ball sacks rule
just do it, don't think about it. when mitch and i say something like, what about tonight, it never works out
the only way it happens is if we are in bed and we just do it.
