Hey Jason. I was at bethel from '94 to '01. I worked for most of that time in the factory. I just sent you an email. We definitely need to compare notes!

Any Brooklyn Bethelites from '93 - '98?
by back2dafront ini guess i should introduce myself for i am a new poster-boy :-) my name is jason howard and i currently reside in santa cruz, california.
i spent the first 24 years of my life as a jw, starting in danbury, ct, then to fayetteville & charlotte, nc, and finally brooklyn, bethel, where finally all of my negative inner thoughts and feelings were confirmed.
(from the ages of 14-24 i always felt something just didn't add up with the organization, but i could never quite put a finger on it) i spent my career at bethel in the brooklyn warehouse/purchasing departments and worked with some really great individuals.

Ozzie's Weekend Poll #15
by ozziepost inowyergoin' on this fine weekend?
here in new south wales, it's been beaut, brilliant, great and yet it's still terrible!
'cos we haven't seen rain in....well, we've forgotten.... and the eastern states are gripped by one of the worst droughts on record.

P.S. Ozzie, love the weekend polls! I know I don't post to them often, but I always enjoy them.

I've probably got around 500 books (do a lot of library reading too). I really haven't noticed a difference since I got out of dubdom a couple months ago . Maybe I read a little more, but I've always been a big reader (despite being a witness most of my life).
I like using the books to chronicle myself. An early teen love affair with cheesy science fiction. A streak of true crime in High School, a nasty little fetish with self-help I'm glad to say I'm over, and a current bent toward first-time fiction novels (I kinda love that feeling of supporting new writers. "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel is my latest favorite). Yep, I think I'm just your typical booknerd.

apostasy is abandoning or deserting the worship and service of god, actually a rebellion against jehovah god.

Who Are We ?
by Dia ini'm interested in exploring a few things.
to try to keep these two topics separate, i'm going to attribute the letters a and b to them.
a for 'who's on the board?

Big, fat A1 here.
Here's another I'd add to the B list:
JW's lack maturity because they are encouraged to be irresponsible. Rather than being responsible for the critical thinking of their own decisions -- developing their own minds -- they pass it off to the 'organization' to make all decisions for them. The GB has raised a family of immature, unthinking inbreds unable to function without them.

Viv, I'm so sorry. It sucks. It REALLY, REALLY SUCKS!! But I guess that's why we're here isn't it? We all go through it. At least you understand enough to blame Watchtower (and not yourself, like a lot of misguided shunned ones do).
Does that make it hurt any less? Nope. Maybe LuckyLucy has the best advice.

Tell me what you did on the doors?
by ballistic inme and my pioneer partner used to play a game while going door to door (we were obviously bored).
in our rural territory, we had a lot of time between doors to make things up, so various games evolved.
just about the naughtiest was to give your partner a word which they had to use at all costs in their presentation.. this started out as 'kingdom' and 'jesus' but soon became 'tractor', 'dog' and then even 'honda 250' and so on.

Now I thank myself that by doing that I did not convert anybody!
Good for you Reborn. Wish I could say that. *Sigh* More guilt. Great.
Hey Chelbie, step outside and imagine if you were still Aux Pio in this August Texas heat!!
I remember we (the two other male pioneers in my congo) would really make a point of dramatically watching the clock on break and only staying for 10 min. each time. The plain old publishers thought we were so consciencous and spiritual, especially in the hot summer. Of course that wasn't the reason. We simply knew that as long as we didn't leave with the rest of the group, we wouldn't have to work with them so we could just cut out and screw around for an hour or two. Then we'd come back to the KH and smile and wave at the others as we hopped in our cars. Great fun. Highly recommended service-avoidance tactic.

Dutchie, you're a woman after my own heart! I spent some of the happiest days of my life traipsing around Bavaria, sampling the wonderful beers and wines. Mmmm. Stunningly beautiful countryside too (as I recall from a few sober moments).

Is it really so? Is there an inner circle here?
by Celtic inbefore some of you jump down my throat thinking i'm stirring muddied waters, i'm not, but, a question has been on my mind here more often than not, who exactly is the membership made up of here, within this community, of an inner circle so to speak?
you scratch my back, i'll scratch yours etc pile of poo.. personally, i've had enough of clicky groups and cliches to last me a lifetime, so, who are these guys that try to keep others excluded from their small brained 'in club'?.
