Amazing transformation- Slave to Master

i was looking at another thread and began thinking..... isn't it amazing that the "slave" has put itself in the place of the "master" ?

anyway you look at it, the organization has taken matt.

24:45-47 and twisted it beyond recognition.. witnesses have become slaves of the "slave class" and not of the master.

"Slave" would certainly apply to 7million + Jehovah's Witnesses peddling WT publications from door to door at their own expense. If the GB could get away with renderin Matthew 24:45-47 "faithful and discreet Slave Master", I am sure they would give it a go. The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses answers to nobody. Hell, they even tell Jehovah and Jesus what they really meant when they said stuff and had it written down thousands of years ago.

Do JWs Participate in Wars By Funding Them?

i think there are a lot of ways to get your hands bloody without actually joining the military or shooting a gun indiscriminately at foreigners in their own country.. can you think of ways that jws are participating in sponsoring wars without "going to war"?.

If you apply the GB's reasoning regarding celebrating a birthday, giving to charities, or refusing to purchase a 25 cent card from the Malawian government, then yes, paying taxes is tantamount to funding and supporting war.

Curtains, ha ha, sorry, too. Just to be clear, I am not a practicer of Buddhism, and I was just saying that my knowledge, awareness, and acceptance was sort of zen-like regarding what comes after death. I have no special insights into a state of zen ;)

Does Genesis 19 condemn Homosexuality?

there are many "proof" texts that people (including jws) use to justify their rejection of anyone that is gay.

there are a few scriptures that you can pull up and try to make a case for show homosexuals why they are evil and wrong.. i've been researching more of these scriptures and i'm coming to some very different conclusions than many other christians hold, especially jws.

i wanted to talk about the first text used by many people to condemn homosexual behaviour.

More and more, Church's are abandoning the Sodom and Gomorah account as evidence of God's displeasure of homosexuality, and it's because of this sort of light being shown on Genesis 19.

The WTBTS is so progressive that they are still holding tightly to the erroneous application of those Bible passages, ha ha, and they will be the last to let go of it, too.

Curtains, we are carbon-based life forms. Our consciousness and thought is in the brain powered by electricity. Once dead, the energy disperses back into the universe, our bodies and brains turn to dust, and we no longer exist in any form even remotely close to the configuration in which we briefly existed. Is there a Logical explanation for the spooky things happening at my daughter, Ali's house?!?!!!!

ok.... looking for some logical explainations.... my daughter, ali, who i've been posting about on the forum...who has developed congestive heart failure.... has had some spooky experiences lately in her house.

here are a few of the things that happened:.

about a month ago, ali and her son david, heard noises from the attic above ali's bedroom...that sounded like something was being dragged across the attic floor.

Liberty, all of those thinngs you described are not evidence of the supernatural. It's merely evidence that people can will themselves, their minds and their bodies into doing incredible feats.

There is no proof those types of things are compelled by invisible spirits. Lunacy.

I shot a video last year that sends chills up the spine of every single person who watches it. In the video I seem to have caught a large shadow figure standing against the wall of a hotel room. You cannot ascertain it's shape at first because it blends into the other shadows on the wall and in the room. Suddenly it begins to move and slinks to the bed and slips beneath and disappears. I have had many people try to debunk it without success. The video is completely legit in that it has not been edited, no special effects of any kind have been used. It is an authentic occurrence happening in real time. I have taken an experienced paranormal investigator to the room after having viewed the video to investigate and find some other reasonable explanation. His conclusion was that I had captured an actual shadow person in the room. He believed in all of his experience and knowledge I had captured real evidence of the paranormal. The truth? It was simply a natural, but unexpected trick of light and shadow, so subtle and so difficult to reproduce that it baffles everyone who tries to explain the shadow figure logically. But I was there, I captured it, and I know the video is a hoax. And this is how something that simply cannot exist gains momentum and gets asserted as reality. That which cannot be proven to exist, cannot exist.

Do not call Ghost Hunters. They are con-men, and have perpetrated many hoax's in their show over the years and have absolutely no credibility. All psychics are frauds . . . ALL of them.

Be a skeptic. Look for other reasonable explanations for what is happening. Troubled people will invent and/or exaggerate things they see and hear and attribute them to the supernatural.

Electromagnetic fields are everywhere, and are often concentrated in certain rooms of a house where electrical wiring and breaker boxes have been installed without proper shielding and insulation. EMF's can cause a human to hallucinate, feel sick and dizzy, seem to cause cold spots in the air around you, cause goose pimples to raise on the skin, cause people who are sensitive to EMF's to hear things, see things. Add this naturally occurring result of exposure to EMF's to the irrational predisposition to believe in the paranormal and you get false, though sincere, claims in the supernatural.

I am sure you will find a logical explanation if you want to.
