having a wee bit of trouble but may have stumbled across a couple of things.

can you confirm or look into this- .

Welcome dreamgolfer the society expects a certain amount of donation from each assembly and they just tack it on to the expenses so the brothers think it is the actual cost of the assembly. I worked in finance at one big assembly and I knew exactly how much the actual expenses were but the brother got up on the podium and announced something like $10,000 more than the actual expenses as what was needed to cover the cost of the assembly...

Research...

i'm looking for someone to help with some research.

i need to find out about the culture and beliefs of jw's.

it must be from a genuine jw, not hear say from someone who 'knows' about the faith or has previously been a jw, i need to hear the view as a positive.. if anyone can help i'd be grateful if you could get in touch.

Where do I start...

i stumbeled across this site after doing some research about earthquakes and "end times".

i've had a jw comming to my home for quite a while just stopping by, and she finally convinced me to agree to a "bible study".

i was intoxicated at the time i agreed and i figured it would be better to have a set time for her visits rather then her just showing up at random times.

do you miss anything from when you were a jw?

a few of my friends who also used to be jw's, say they miss certain things abt it...i can honestly say that i don't miss a single thing (my sister obviously who's still in but nothing else).. before i could sometimes miss having such a strong belief but that's also gone.

i guess i've moved on big time.
