I have increased my spending. If I reach my credit limit on one credit card I just get another one and keep charging even thought my income hasn't gone up...

by Mary inwell, i walked in and got the love-bombing before i even made it past the foyer.
everyone's missed me, everyone's thrilled that i came, blah, blah, blah.
to be fair though, there were a few there that i do miss so it was nice to see them.

by the pharmer ini wanted my jw friend's perspective on something, so i asked them this question:.
if i read a passage of scripture and conclude about it something that opposes the wt's view of the same passage, in your mind who has the truth about that passage (i.e.
who is correct)?

Considering how many times they have changed their doctrine I would say it is a difficult question. In all my 28 years on the inside I could not explain using the Bible only how they came to their conclusions concerning doctrine. They have used the same scriptures to prove then later disprove their own doctrine. The fact is they are fed what they believe is spiritual food and question nothing...

JW's must believe what they are told to believe by the Governing Body they are not allowed independent thinking and can not so much as question the least of their doctrines...

How do you feel about the pledge of allegiance now?
by SweetBabyCheezits infor you us citizens (and those whose nations have a similar patriotic oath), how do you feel about your children saying the pledge in school if it's customary?.
my daughter is in 3rd grade and part of her school's morning routine includes the pledge.
when we stopped attending meetings a year ago, my wife and i explained to her that we don't agree with the jw "idolatry" classification so, naturally, she started joining her class in the pledge.. fast forward to the present: my wife and i are both non-theists who want to raise ethical, caring, tolerant children, but also children who aren't afraid to stand apart, especially when that stand isn't popular.
