Have become seriously angry ...all of a sudden...

why did we allow a bunch of men to dictate to us not only what we believed, but even how we parented our kids,and then even how we spent our free time?????

Why are anniversaries okay?

i was at a jw graduation party yesterday and realized "if birthday parties are not okay because they supposedly bring undue attention to an individual, why are graduation parties and wedding anniversaries okay?
" they both glorify individuals and put them on a pedestal.

As well as that ISAAC I believe they remove all the 'tradiitions' that bond a family so strongly so that its easier if they need to break up the family.
When I asked about anniversaries I was told that a person's priority relationship is with Jehovah but the one he honours the most next to that is 'marriage' so anniversaries are allowed....cant believe now that I accepted all that...

by JediMaster indid anyone here claim to be of the anointed and partook of the emblems at memorial when you were still a witness???
if so, was there really a force telling you, you were special and would go to heaven?
or was it more so overjoy at how spritual you though you were?

I finally had witnesses knock on my door!!!!!
by myownlife ini keep missing them i guess.....but had a father/daughter tag team come to my door an hour ago.
i loved it when i asked them about the 'new light' and why that keeps happening when the bible has stayed the same...you could hear crickets....i also asked about the disfellowshipping/shunning thing and they said something about discipline...whatever!
it's incredible that i was once one of them and was so enthusiastic about the borg!

How to explain blood fractions are still blood to someone who doesn't agree...
by NiceDream indoes anyone have a good analogy or something i could use to help explain to my husband that blood fractions are still blood?
he feels that it gets to a point where it's not blood anymore.

Writing a book and have it published and sold is not a crime for heavens sake. If you maintained this rule of thumb for every book available you'd never read one!!!! If Ray could make a living while at the same time helping others with his story then why shouldnt he? If you read it you'd see how much hard work he put into it too.

Loving your beutiful children
by jambon1 ini had little or no problems with my beliefs as an 18 year old convert to the jehovah's witness religion.
fair enough, there were a few things that i found a bit wacky & odd, but i was on the road to life.
i couldn't give a rats arse about many things.
