Welcome to the forum. As Stillin has said many here have been trampled by the WTBS. They are the legalistic organisation that has spawned the "snitching on your brother", the power and control used by elders, the shunning, the demands for money, the rejection of higher education, etc etc. These things have resulted in many losses for members here. Losses of families, careers, financial security, self esteem, and WHOLE LIVES. There is little wonder therefore that people have so much to say in response, since the WTBS is so reprehensible.

Erm, lets see, that'll be a definite NO, from me Minimus. If we want a relationship with God we can approach Christ who will mediate for us. Don't need any other men (or women) in a hierarchical organisation involved. Thanks, but no thanks.

Andy Murray is the first male singles winner in 77 years. Fred Perry was the last in 1936. It was a brilliant match, superb tennis. The whole nation held its breath and then rejoiced with him. Wonderful moment in history.

Unbelievable tennis. It was so moving to watch him finally win Wimbledon. Had the nation gasping, then crying. Bringing it home for the Celts! Still crying here...

Passed my Post Grad with 'Outstanding' grade! Shows it's never too late.

i'm not posting here to boast, but to encourage any who may have abandoned education because of the pressure as a jw, and who may feel that it's too late to return and achieve such goals.
in the 1980s i stopped halfway through my b.ed honours and accepted a dip.h.e.
