Lits - your experiences made me cringe for you - how dreadful - like someone else said it was very definitely abuse and we've all had a taste of it one way or another for sure. The really shocking part is that they conned us we were pleasing God by suffering all that stuff.

this site has opened my eyes.. i am suprised as a one time 'do gooder witness' that so many on this site are still 'active' jw's!
and all the time i was a witness i really did not think that anyone would dare even look at such a site!!!!!.
i am also suprised at the number of people in the same situation as me, and the number of people who actually feel they have something to live for now they have left the org!.
Bez - good to hear its helping being on here. It definitely helped me and still does. I remember being on here for hours when I first found it and after about 6 months I still feel I should pop in every day and keep up with everyone and their stories and get my 'fix' lol. I've run the gamut of all emotions on here good and bad...and 'met' some really lovely people. You really should read Crisis of Conscience if you get the chance - thats amazing, truly, and written by a fine man. Look forward to hearing lots more from you.

dear randy, early this year i requested disassociation from the org and have been meaning to publish some sort of statement.
i was a member for over 33 years and partook of the emblems.
being an older widow it took some deliberation and guts to make the move but am currently very happy with the change.
Randy - Thank you for this - I too was an anointed sister for 15 years before I left. I would very much like to communicate with this lady if that would be possible at all ?

Let's imagine we were the hungry man in the story? We wouldnt care how or who was helping us to have food surely? We'd just be thankful to have some. Is there no empathy on here from some posters now?

have been reading so many comments from you guys over the past few months and now i can finally comment too!.
it is amazing how long it took me to see that jw's are not god's organization and that their teachings do not really find support in the bible.. now i'm not really sure what i believe.
