get you'r thinking cap's on. I need information.
by kls inlet me start out by saying last night i watched "silence are the children" again on direc tv.this time my hubby wasn't home so i was able to watch it and express my feelings of what i was seeing.i thought i was going to vomit (realy) the hole story just hit me ,when i looked into those poor kids faces, the terror, the hurt.then i thought o my god that could have been my children , not that it would have been their father but they went to sleep over's at witnesses homes.it's been twenty years since any of my kid's have been involved in the cult but the thought just hit me and i became inraged.
well my jw husband came home and he could see i was very upset and asked what was wrong, i said i watched "silence are the children" again and it makes me sick how you'r cult protects these basterds and sends them back into their homes and society to rape again.his response was ... the elders are doing what the bible say's to do , we go by the bible, gods word besides if this is realy happening(you can't believe everything you hear) they will be disfellowshiped.itold him you gotta be kidding thats it ,he went on to say that disfellowshiping was bad.bleep bleep.those bleeps should be castrated in prison, he walked away.of course i could not let it go,i asked him what if one of those kids were our kids would you still jurt let the elmers take care of it and continue going to meetings?
if i was a violent person i would have wailed on his body..he said yes i probably would keep going to meetings.sick sick.all i can think is after 29yrs of marriage i don't know him.

{{{{hugz}}}} kls,
I am so sorry your husband is not sensitive to this subject. I know what you mean when you say if you were a violent person you would have wailed on his body.
It is unnatural for your spouse to feel so differently on such an important issue.
Please do not blame him but, blame the Watch Tower.
Many good people in this site have discussed what your looking for here are 2 threads and I will search for more.

21 st Reproach none for the infirmities of nature, nor delight to put them that have in mind thereof.
22 nd Show not yourself glad at the midfortune of another, though he were your enemy.
23 rd When you see crime punished, you may be inwardly pleased, but always show pity to the suffering offender.
24 th Do not laugh too much or too loud in public.
25 th Superfluous compliments and all affectation of ceremony are to be avoided, yet where due, they are not to be neglected.
26 th In pulling off your hat to persons of distinction, as noblemen, justices, churchmen,&c, make a reverence, bowing more or less according to the custom of the better bred and quality of person. Among your equals, expect not always that they should begin with you first, but to pull off your hat when there is no need is affectation; in the matter of saluting and resaluting in words, keep to the most usual custom.
27 th Tis ill manners to bid one more eminent than yourself be covered as well as not to do it to whom its due; likewise, he that makes too much haste to put on his hat does not well, yet he ought to put it on at first, or at most the second time of being asked. Now what is herein spoken, of qualification in behavior in saluting, ought to be observed in taking of place, and sitting down for ceremonies without bounds its troublesome.
28 th If anyone come to speak to you while you are sitting, stand up, though he be your inferior; and when you present seats, let it be to everyone according to his degree.
29 th When you meet with one of greater quality than yourself, stop, and retire, especially if it be a door or any straight place to give way for him to pass.
30 th In walking, the highest place in most countries seems to be on the right hand, therefore, place yourself on the left of him whom you desire to honour; but if three walk together, the mid place I the most honourable; the wall is the usually given to the most worthy if two walk together.

At the end of last summer my parents took the children and I on an amazing RV vacation.
For 3 weeks we drove from our home to our Nations Capital.
One of the most fascinating things we learned on our trip was the caliber of people our nations settlers were as well as our founding fathers. The majority of people at that time period are what we call Self Made Men And Women.
Now and again I will post something about these people from our countries past. Starting with..
George Washington -- born 1732; died 1799
chairman of the Constitutional Convention, first president of the United States
George Washington, by contrast to Benjamin Franklin, went to one-room "Latin schools," which were tutorial sessions with a single teacher, again with a heterogenous age mix. Like Franklin, he learned to read at home before attending any school. Washington got in only two years of Latin school because his father died and the family couldn't afford to keep sending him.
On our trip I purchased a little book Washington wrote of which I will share in its entirety with you. It is entitled.
George Washingtons Rules Of Civility And Decent Behaviour
George Washington, the father of our country , exhibited notable manners throughout his life. Diligence in social matters was common practice in decent society the world over, during his lifetime.
At the age of 14, George Washington wrote 110 rules under the title Rules Of Civility And Decent Behaviour In Company And Conversation. These rules were drawn from an English translation of a French book of maxims and were intended to polish manners, keep alive the best affections of the heart, impress the obligation of moral virtues, teach how to treat others in social relations, and above all, inculcate the practice of perfect self control.
1 st Every action done in company ought to be with some sign of respect to those that are present.
2 nd When in company, put not your hands to any part of the body, not usually discovered.
3 rd Show nothing to your friend that may affright him.
4 th In the presence of others sing not to yourself with a humming noise , not drum with your fingers or feet.
5 th If you cough, sneeze, sigh, or yawn, do it not loud but privately; and speak not in your yawning, but put your handkerchief or hand before your face and turn aside.
6 th Sleep not when others speak, sit not when others stand, speak not when you should hold your peace, walk not on when others stop.
7 th Put not off clothes in the presence of others, nor go out your chamber half dressed.
8 th At play and at fire it is good manners to give place to the last comer, and affect not to speak louder than ordinary.
9 th Spit not in the fire, nor stoop low before it. Neither put your hands into the flames to warm them, nor set your feet upon the fire, especially if there be meat before it.
10 th When you sit down, keep your feet firm and even , with out putting one on the other or crossing them.
11 th Shift not yourself in the sight of others nor gnaw your nails.
12 th Shake not your head, feet, or legs; roll not the eyes; lift not one eyebrow higher then the other; wry not the mouth; and bedew no mans face with your spittle by approaching too near him when you speak.
13 th Kill no vermin as fleas, lice, ticks &c in the sight of others; if you see any filth or thick spittle, put your foot dexteriously upon it; if it be upon the clothes of your companions, put it off privately; and if it be upon your own clothes, return thanks to him who puts it off.
14 th Turn not your back to others especially in speaking; jog not the table or desk on which another reads or writes; lean not upon anyone.
15 th Keep your nails clean and short, also your hands and teeth clean, yet without showing any great concern of them.
16 th Do not puff up the cheeks; loll not out the tongue, rub the hands, or beard, thrust out the lips, or bite them, or keep the lips too open or close.
17 th Be no flatterer; neither play with any that delights not to be played with.
18 th Read no letters, books, or papers in company; but when there is a necessity for the doing of it, you must ask leave. Come not near the books or writings of another so as to read them or give your opinion of them unasked; also look not nigh when another is writing a letter.
19 th Let your countenance be pleasant , but in serious matters somewhat grave.
20 th The gestures of the body must be suited to the discourse you are upon.
These are the 1 st 20 and I will be adding more to this thread throughout the day.
Hope you enjoy this little time travel to the past.

Updated Report by Yizuman - Part Two
by Yizuman inok i went to the welfare office this morning.. the case worker was a very nice lady, her name is maria.
all smiles and very friendly too.. she knows about the wal-mart situation and has gotten alot of employees who have gotten fired for whacked out reasons.. she needs some info from wal-mart, but problem is that wal-mart tends to screw with the social workers trying to get info from them and she's had been given alot of run arounds from them before.
so she told me it would be 2-3 weeks before she gets any info from wal-mart before i can get any help from them.

Happy Man,
As always you are dear and sweet. You love your neighbor as yourself.
If all Christians in every religion including the Jehovah Witness Religion were like you the world would be free of problems and Armageddon would become unnecessary.
Still Happy Man, yes many people died in the wars you pointed out at the hands of Christians but there are many ways to murder people. There are many ways to kill.
Look closely at the religion we have held so dear to our hearts Happy Man. Have they not killed people?
Lets start with all who believed The Watch Tower when they said Vaccinations were against God. There were epidemics of diseases in The U.S.A. back then. Many men, women, and children died. When vaccinations came along it saved the lives of anyone who would take them. What happened to those who believed the Watchtower Bible And Tract Society? I look at my children and wonder how parents who believed The Watch Towers advice was from God felt when they suffered the consequences of not allowing their children to be inoculated.
Fast Forward in Watchtower History to Organ Transplants. The Watch Tower said Organ Transplants fell under cannibalism. Therefore a true Christian would not receive and organ transplant they would rather die faithful to God. So people did not take The Transplants and died believing it was Gods will. Time goes on and The Watch Tower gets New Light!! A true Christian may now have a transplant and not offend God!!
If it is ok now to receive transplants Happy Man it was all right back when people died not accepting them in the name of God!
Sad thing is if anyone thought it was ok and The Watch Tower was wrong they would have been disfellowshipped for saving their own lives! Can you imagine?
Now today we have the Blood Issue. It would seem to take Blood is bad and yet now a True Christian can even take Hemopure made from Cows Blood! I ask you? Where do these blood fractions come from? They come from blood that in the past the Watch Tower Bible And Tract Society said must be poured on the ground.
If you do your research you will find there are fractions that were once banned to Jehovah Witness Hemophiliacs. In the past JW Hemophiliacs had to die in Jehovah Gods Name. Thing is if it is ok now then it was ok back when they were dieing for Watch Tower Rules.
Do you understand this? What I am saying to you?
You are a good person who I would not want to misunderstand what I have to say.
Do you know that there are people who were Wrongly disfellowshipped who kill themselves? They were so down and in need of help and their congregations threw them out.
Who is responsible for this?
I personally know 3 girls who were sexually abused by brothers and the elders helped the pedophiles and not the girls.
One of these girls I know tried to kill herself 2 times last year. Some do kill themselves who were abused and the elders and the Watch Tower Society knew about their abuse and did not help them. Who is responsible for their blood?
I know of single mothers who have done nothing wrong except that they are in need. They are treated unkindly and not helped in their Kingdom Halls. The Watch Tower Society has billions of dollars and not one program to help their needy. The Watch Tower Society knows they exist and are in need. They do nothing. When one of these mothers depressed and unable to move on kills herself as my girlfriend who is still in The Truth triedwhos hands are their blood on?
You are a kind man and a good neighbor. You are too sweet to imagine what The Watch Tower has done.
In my heart Happy man I wish the Governing Body were men like you because if they were many many people would still be living and no child would have gone without help.
Thank-you for listening Happy Man. I hope you have understood what I have written here.
Christian Love,

Yiz,
You really gave it to Brummie there without knowing about him ether.
With statements like...... you have absolutely no idea what it is like to be discriminated against..you are not suffering from depression, so therefore you have no idea what it feels like and especially what it feels like to want to kill yourself. ..never give an advice to anyone unless you have been through it yourself and found solutions to the problems
Those things you wrote about are not exclusive to the deaf our Yizuman. As a matter of fact all the problems youre having are not exclusively problems of deaf persons.
You are not alone in the universe in your pain and suffering. Nor are you alone in your poverty and despair!
Many people of many groups hearing, and non-hearing are in your same boat. Each person handles it quite differently.
From what I have read of Brummies posts on this thread he merely wished to give you a kick in the pants because dear Yizuman he believes in you!
You may lack such confidence in yourself but Brummie and others here know you can do it! You can come through this low time in your life triumphant!
Yes we all have our styles in giving advice. Some tell you were to get aid some just coddle and coo to you and yet others like Brummie Do Not Treat You as A Poor Decrepit Deaf Soul......NO they choose to treat you as a Man Equal to himself!
Isnt that amazing......someone who thinks you can make it like any man out there......instead of someone who pities and sees you as a weakling who cannot take care of yourself!
Although his words stung because of your downtrodden state......in a sense you should thank him for treating you as he would any man instead of as a helpless child.
Now these are modern times and there are many conveniences. We are not expected to hunt for food or build our own homes. You may be deaf which is difficult indeed.......but you are not blind or cripple or mentally incapable of rational thought.
- Please think upon what Brummie has said to you as a strong, proud and capable man. Remember those in history like Sanzan TaniJulia Brace ,Laura Bridgman ,Helen Keller .Robert and Michelle Smithdas ,Danny Delcambre .
I am sure if you do some research you will find even more people to mentally lead you and inspire you as well as our Heavenly Father who by past threads of yours I have come to know you believe in.
Sometimes the sting of one Bee keeps you from walking into a hive!
Forgive Brummie and move forward Yiz.
On a few of your threads I suggested temp services such as Man Power that even offer job training. I have not once seen you write of going to any temp service and trying.
I realize it is scary to apply for a job when you feel you will be discriminated against but, still man......give it a try!
When my father came to this country he could not speak English, and he worked in the fields as a migratory worker when other children were in school. As he grew older he because of his race he was not allowed to eat in restaurants as they were only for The Anglos. When he got jobs often they would call him derogatory names while he worked and would belittle him the entire time!! He and my mothers 1 st home was a chicken coup made into a bunkhouse by the owner of a Plant Nursery.
One job he had when my mother found out how badly the boss abused him (calling him names like stupid spick..etc.) she asked how he could stand it. My father replied, Poor man, he does not know any better.
Because my father did not know English he had to take The Civil Servants Test 5 times before he passed it! They did not have it in Spanish back then as they do now. Still he took over and over no matter how embarrassing. No matter how many times the men at The Post office called him stupid Mexican for it.
My family knows what discrimination is like Yiz. Much of Anglo America (not everyone but, many) makes sure we know. In our lives we have been physically beaten, had our property vandalized, derogatory name-calling, loss of work, and even sexual assault. All because we are Mexican, nothing more, nothing less. We did no crime to anyone and have faced discrimination simply because they dont like the sound of our last name.
You can do it Yiz..do not be afraid. Say a prayer and go to sleep. When you wake up walk, run, ride a bike if you have too. You can make it. We know you can.
Take Care Our Yizuman.
I will pray for you.
Christian Love,
