i left about 8 years ago, at the grand old age of 24, basically being an unmarried mum of 1 (baptised when my girl was 11months old) and the 'tipping point for me' when elder sisters tried to set me up for marriage to a 64year old elder, as that would be the only man willing to marry a girl such as myself.
i ran away, i moved 300miles away.
there should be a witness pretection programme ;).
When I was 16 or so, I remember a talk about a engaged couple that didn't show up for their wedding at the KH, later they were found dead and naked in their car in a compromising position. I was freaked...just the thought of being found like that.
Then I thought...why didn't they leave the window down? Why not spread a blanket on the ground. Stupid teenagers.

as many know i left tennessee to help take care of my grandma.
she is back in the hospital, this is visit number 8 this winter alone.
the doctor's don't know what it causing her headaches and they are getting worse.

I watched last night,...Matt was in court for a supposed DUI. He said he'd only had one Corona, 4 hours earlier, and he was having trouble driving his wife's van.
He refused the breath-a-liser.
Someone on the jury got on the internet, so they decided the jury was contaminated.
The attorney gave Matt a choice of waiting for another jury could be selected, or having the judge decide. He decided on a judge decision. The judge gave him a not guilty on the DUI, but a guilty on the refusal of a breath-a-liser, and a guilty on going over the yellow line.
I think he lucked out this time.

Reminds me of an old lady, from service, when I was about 12+. She never wanted the magazines, but said that when the persecution came, she would hide us.
She made that comment every time. I thought she was so nice. Now that my brain is spilling from the far reaches of who knows where, I wonder if she was a kook, or what??

what in interesting story. It reminds me of when I worked with a girl that had a warrant out for her arrest.
When I saw the police walk in, I grabbed by her arm and pushed her out the back door, in the dark, in the pouring rain and told her to stay until I came back for her. Eventually they left. And I opened the back door and let her back in.

i took oon board what you all said, to be honest i was crying all time (not like me) and i turned to you guys for support but basically what everyone said that ineeded to sort myself ouf first was right ,, and i think maybe i have, i still single but everytime my parents keep on stick up for myself they know i dont believe it no more , i know its took me ages to come to this but its true im hurting them like hell but i thinki have to for me .

this is a subject i've had a lot of interest in for some time.
to me, this problem could end up as a much bigger problem than global warming and there can be no debate about whether it's here...or man-made.
it is affecting us now.
I just saw this on the morning news.
At first when they said.."coming up next, prescription drugs in your drinking water"
I thought we were going to find out that they planned ahead which states would get drugged to see if it lowered crime, or illness, diseases, ect.
That could happen, couldn't it?

i haven't been on for a few months but i had a question.
i feel like when i was baptized in 1999, i was pressured by my children's granmother to hurry up and do it for their sake.
I think anyone that was baptized before they became an adult, should have the option of having their baptism overturned.
It kinda pisses me off that my parents shun me, my children and grandchildren because of a decision I made, to make them happy when I was 14 years old.

obviously some of you were , but some topics i notice get huge amouts of folk reading them but not replying , i think that had i had internet access years ago and read some of these threads i wouldnt have lasted another week at kingdom hall , and yet i still imagine going to sit in the hall during a meeting so i could see what its like listening to a talk without a programmed mind and knowing that its a sign of a cult if your friends and family warn you its a cult but the cult tells you its just satan trying to get you out "the truth"!
One evening not to long ago, we had a sister bonding night and got talking about various things, I bravely brought up the .....
For me, one of the sadest things is that you can't speak freely to those you are supposed to be closest with.
I can't think of any subject that my husband and children and a few close friends I have, couldn't speak freely about. Even if I knew they felt entirely differert.
As for the, subject...I think, that if they, (JW's that check out this site) are not affected by what they read here, there is something seriously wrong with them.

since some of us are still active and have to hide our so-called apostate literature, i am curious about where some of you keep it.
i have to leave it at my workplace.
i manage, however, to have one book at home.
I remember going to the library, picking out a possibly questionable book, going to another section of the library and standing in the isle to read it. Ready to quickly place it on the shelf if anyone I knew walked by. This was back in the days, when I didn't dare check out the book, because you would actually have to sign the library card that was on the inside front of the book.
