  What do you mean by your sex life is dead? Like he's "unable" to preform, or "unwilling"?

  I don't think the cheater can live as normal, if you have an affair, then you will have to live with the guilt that comes with that.

  they always dictate that everyone should look like clones of one another - the same.

  from early on i remember my elder dad in the late 1970's telling me as a teenager , " you are an elders son ; little brother jimmy over there looks up to you as an example.

  I was once counseled on wearing a push-up bra. I acted like I didnt' know what they were talking about.

  On a side note....just today I was at Walmart with my oldest granddaughter. We were were looking at push-up bras for her. My husband walked up and heard us talking about them. He got a funny/sad look on his face. And said she should still be eating push-ups, not wearing them. hehehe

  American Life : Some questions

  there are a couple of things i'd like to know about you guys:.

  ** why does it seem that so many have wooden homes?.

  ** 401k - is this a pension plan of sorts & are you obligated to take one?.

  I've always lived in brick houses. But I love log cabins.

  I wish I had a 401K, but do not.

  ** Do most of you drive an automatic?

  All of our cars are Automatic, but I can drive a stick. Many can not.

  ** Are really proud to be an American?

  This is kinda like asking are you proud to be white, I've never know anything else.

  ** Do you bother to find out about the world around you?

  I love learning about the world and the the people around me.

  ** What is this American Dream & do you believe in it?

  To me the American Dream is to own a house, a savings account and have a job, and be reasonably happy and healthy. I have all that.

  ** Aren't you really just decended from the british anyways?

  Hell if I know.

  ** Is fast food your way of life?

  It's easy and fast and convenient...but like smoking is unhealthy so I try to stay away.

  *Major rant* my Sunday at the Hall aka HELL, also need ladies opinion on creepy elder

  ok guys i thought i would update you on my sunday and how the study went.

  i had to drive a few of the older sisters to the hall (one has a bum leg the other an injured hip and the other one has a hard time seeing), so i drove them to the hall and stayed for the meeting, here are some of my thoughts, first of the public talk.. i dont know how i made it thru the 30 minute talk without screaming bulls*it every other five seconds, the talk was about being no part of the world, and man it made me want to vomit.

  first off, children are still discouraged from extra curricular activities, i dont know how they expect children to grow up and be able to function socially if they raise them to isolate themselves from their peers, dont they realize that they are raising social retards?

  And here is something that really bothered me; maybe the ladies on the board can tell me if I’m over reacting, there is an elder in this hall whom I’ve known from age 14, he’s always made me uncomfortable for reasons I cant really explain, he’s not mean but sometimes I had a feeling that he was showing me too much attention or maybe saying things that had double meanings, is any of this making sense? Any ways I’m sitting behind him and after the meeting when the last prayer is over he turns around and takes my hand *shudders* then he leans in way close and says “have you missed me? Have you thought about me every day?” and he still would not let go of my hand, am I wrong to think that this was completely inappropriate and creepy? I finally managed to excuse myself when someone walked by with a new baby, but let me tell you that was a very uncomfortable moment.

  I just figured it out...That was Jehovah speaking to you through this man.

  hi all just thought i'd share how far i've come in my recovery from the jw's indoctrination...... i have posted on 'facebook' and am having the courage to post exatly what i feel about the stuff i was taught throughout my childhood etc.. i am using my real name which is a big thing for me...and ya know what?

  i don't care one bit who see's what i post!

  it feels wonderful to be able to express how i feel!.

  What is the average age of those who no longer believe?
