by highdose inbeing an ex cult member i don't understand this... i walk into town and back and on my way theres always these men driving past in cars who honk their horns at me.
is it some form of comunication?
am i supposed to respond in some way???.

How many you you hated to wait in the car while someone was on a good call!
by life is to short insomething i have not heard before on this board is waiting in the car out in service or any of the woman who were elders wives waiting on their husbands while in an elders meeting.. i was 24 years old when i got married to an older man he was 41 and had been an elder for about 12 years.
i truly loved my husband when we got married.
i truly loved him like crazy.

I with those above that didn't mind sitting and waiting. If I HAD to be there, I'd rather not talk if I can get out of it. Even now, I don't mind waiting in line or at the doctors. I can let my mind wonder to another place, in an instant. -
As a child growing up with an elder dad, we usually lived within walking distance of the KH. That was always a delight, walking back and forth to ther meetings all dressed up.

Having d/a a few months ago I requested an Elder and a m/s to be my friends, just for a bit of fun, yeah Iknow nothing better to do. Imagine my surprise when I got loads of friend requests from apostates. Dont know how they did that. So i`ve closed my account, if I can pry into their accounts I`m sure they will do the same to me.
what the hell?
1. you leave the JW's.
2. you become an apostate (one that leaves their former religion)
3. you try to befriend the JW's, that you left
4. JW's ignore you (the newest apostate)
5. apostate's try to befriend you.
6. you ignore the apostates
did I miss anything?

My kitty is having kittens soon and Im stressing about it. Advice?
by WuzLovesDubs inlike i dont have enough going on right now...my kitty is expecting and im not sure when she actually got pregnant but im thinking her due date might be around 5/10.
i have read online a bit about the process and i hope she can handle this.
i made a secure and private kittening box for her and she seems to like it in there with ripped up rags she can pile up into a nest.

Coffee Drinkers...... Why do you drink coffee?

(preface: at hospital today, can't leave floor to get another h20 bottle, just tried drinking coffee again for the first time in 14years).

I love coffee. Black..I love it with cream and/or sugar, the flavored kinds, the frozen kinds..mmmm
In the morning I look forward to my cup of black coffee in my special cup...., like a comforting ritual.
Coffee doesn't keep me awake, and occasionally I'll have a cup in the evenings to warm up with.

Advice on How to Approach JW Friends
by maputo95 inmy best friend has started going back to meetings after a 30 year disassociation with the wtbts.
his main motive is for jehovah to remember and resurrect him on judgement day.
we have played a lot of bible ping-pong both quoting scripture to bolster our opposing position.

I squinted and read the entire thing. Going back after 30 yrs. Yikes. I could NEVER imagine doing that. I did have a BS with the JW's years after I had left and living in a different state that no one knew me. I asked all the questions I was never allowed to ask as a child growing up as a JW. I got dropped after a few studies. They just quit coming. No explanation or anything. Damn, I even made cookies.
As for your friend, only time will tell. He hasn't researched the JW's or their history or he wouldn't go back. Maybe it's what he needs in this time in his life. Who knows, I hope you can be there for him when he needs someone that knows how to truly be a friend.

When the JW get angry, yell, stomp away, de-friend you from FB or in reallife. Is it because what you/I/we said to them is emotionally too painful to deal with?
I can question others' (worldly) people's beliefs and they don't freak.
