Several years ago, a couple met on this forum. Was making their wedding plans.
Animal, invited them to his home in AZ to stay and have the wedding. He also invited a few others, including myself and my husband.
We flew from Dayton OH to Mesa AZ. Animal met us at the airport. Drove us to his home. Showed us to the room we would be staying in, pointed out the bathroom and the refridgator. Then told us to make ourselves at home.
It was the most wonderful weekend. One afternoon he took me riding on his bike. Way up on some tall mountains. It was beautiful, fun and a memory filled weekend. I knew when we left that we have made a life time friend.
I will miss Animal forever.

Why am I so special?

i had basically the same experiences as my family and i am the only one out.
i don't claim to be some towering intelect, but even if i were it shouldn't matter.

I don't know the answer to the rest of your questions, except, the last one, No, no one ever came here from my post-it's as far as I know of.

they were out in full force placing memorial invitations.
instead of answering the door, i felt compelled to pretend to be not home and waited for them to leave.

she admitted that she hid when they came to her house.
I informed her that she wasn't foolin' anyone. She would be marked on the report as a HBH - Home But Hiding. -

Anti-witnessing.

he called, we talked for a bit.
i had met his brothers as a kid, but didn't remember him.. i told him where my parents lived but explained to him why i don't have a phone number,..and why i haven't spoken to them in years.

He was hesistant to look any further for them. I told him not to worry, as I was sure they would be friendly with him as he had not left their cult.
I hoped he called them and asked them about it.
