  what would happen if a copy of crisis of conscience and a short well-written covering letter were sent to every single jehovah's witness worldwide?

  i realise this is not practical and probably dubious morally, but that is not the point of my question.

  call it a thought experiment if you will.

  I met someone that worked for a cult awareness group. She sent my parents a copy of CofC, a 5 dollar bill, and a lovely letter that said, someone that loves you very much is worried about you. If you decide not to keep the book, please use the 5 dollar bill to return it.

  The book was never returned.

  Years later at one of my few phone calls to my parents, my dad ask, 'did you send us that book?" I said, "what book?" He said, "nevermind." I said,.."what was it about?" he said.."I didn't read it, I threw it away...because it was apostate crap." I said.."how do you know if you didn't read it?"

  i only ask because i realise that for over 20 years i just love being around women.

  it's not just for sexual reasons either, though that's important sometimes, i just really like being around women.

  after being on my own 10 years, i'm finally coming to grips with my past (which i previously just ignored/didn't think about).

  thanks for existing everyone, its been very existential.

  I love my parents but...

  hubby just told me that my father and mother accused me of stealing a mug from their house when i visited them in october of last year.

  my parents sent that mug to me in a box along with some other stuff when they moved to their current house close to four years ago.

  my husband knew this and defended me quite nicely but they took the mug with them when they left.

  Years ago, I bought some stuff at my mother-in-laws house.

  Later she was at my house and saw the old butter churn I had bought. She accused me of stealing it, and took it back.

  A few months later she gave it to me....she said since I liked it so much. (whatever) I still have it though

  whether you think she got what she deserved or not she never came across as a sensitive, delicate personality that might take their own life, esp.

  she had the goods on too many bigshots.

  i don't buy it.

  i loved him...we would talk for hours about his life and growing up in springfield and all the things he did.
