  i sold the standing hay crop on the place up north.

  yea!

  now...if i could sell the acreage underneath the hay............ we can write off ag stuff on this years taxes ...again.

  listened to my mp3 player all of fri and half of sunday.

  slept for the second half of sunday.

  For the life of me, I can not even imagine telling my son (23) he had to find a seat, sit and listen for 2-3 days.

  and if I did.....

  He's laugh and ask me if I'd lost my ever lovin' mind.

  Probably pat me on the back, or give me a hug..and say..Mom, it ain't happenin'.

  Is Copper theft on the rise in your area ??

  it has become unreal in our small hick town.

  people are ripping out water lines in new homes before they are even finished, contractors are losing their minds.... our house has a walk out basement, garage combo with two huge windows.

  all our water lines are copper and visible thru the windows... we're afraid we'll come home one day and they'll all be gone.... air conditioners have become a prime target.

  I work with REO homes...houses in foreclosure..or have been forclosed upon.

  Yep...copper gets stolen so quick..the banks don't even try to get it fixed before they re-sale the home.

  well, it was 7 years today that i attended my last meeting.

  there is none and never will be any inkling for me to return.

  the longer I'm away,. the more it seems like some distant dream..or maybe it happened in another life.

  I can not under any circumstance imagine sitting though all those meetings,...showing up on strangers doors weekend after weekend...attending Vacation/Assembly's for fun.

  this thread is pretty funny. And I'm glad the one here that have been shunned are able to handle the situation and consider the source.

  But think about the truely depressed or mentally ill ones...that really need some support. How cruel.

  i, too, was raised as a jw.

  my mom still goes to the meetings and out in service when she can, but due to age, she has some troubles (she's 69 and legally blind).

  my oldest sister is very active although her teenage daughters are inactive and disfellowshipped for very unfair reasons.

  i was just at roscoe's in long beach when the assembly crowd with their badges on came in.

  i decided that they must want to be approached since they were advertizing their witnesshood on their clothing.
