  LET'S MAKE A LITTLE WAGER

  perhaps you recall the instance in the bible where samson made a wager with the philistines that they couldnt guess his riddle.

  as it turned out they wheedled the answer out of him by his fiancee, but the point is that they had a wager.

  since the underlying assumption of the apostasy is that we are not living in the last days of this system of things, and that this world is not facing anything remotely like the biblical apocalypse, at least not any time soon, in the spirit of such antagonism, i would like to propose a similar wager.

  'The Assembly days'

  remember going to the 3 day assembly every summer, sitting for numerous exhausting hours on end?

  those were tough on me especially when i was really young and wasn't supposed to be roaming the convention center while the talks were being given.

  i couldn't beleive those pricks with the "please be seated" sings.

  I think i told one of them off, once i got older and rebelious.

  At the end of the day i remember the "Apostates" outside the convention. I always wondered what the signs they were holding meant.(ie. The Watchtower Lies.. etc.) Well now i know.

  Just wondering if any on this board ever 'protested' the WTS outside the assembly?

  How do you explain Christmas to a JW?

  i've come upon a rather perplexing problem .

  my wife, who became a jw after we married, recently decided to help me to understand how i am actually worshipping christmas and thus all sorts of terrible false gods.. this caught me so off guard i was unable to mount a good defense.

  are true good persons a special area of human being or just individuals showing inner qualities?

  If ADAM Hadn't 'Ave Sinned?

  just supposing that adam in the garden of eden hadn't shared and participated in the eating of the forbidden fruit, what would have happened?

  would adam be without a partner to this day?

  and if god knows the end from the beginning, being the alpha and the omega an all that, did he know that 'sin' was going to take place?

  The way i see it is if the JW's were correct and they did get a chance to live in paradise, then whos to say that sin wouldn't happen again? Even if it was 100 000 000 000 000 years later. Just as aChristian said, humans have a sinnful nature.
