so we've seen as the current gb is getting more facetime in an effort to reach the hearts and minds of the rank and file.

this took a leap with video feeds at an open annual meeting.

the international conventions are taking this a step farther.. do you think that local speakers at kingdom halls could ever be replaced by headquarter approved video feeds?.

Unless of course donuthole is the marketing agent Watchtower hired for this TV.JW.ORG, they did say they completed it in a couple of months and donuthole made this post three months ago ... the timing seems a little suspicious

there's no doubt that the wtbts isn't sparing the hard-earned donations from the r&f on its latest trial of jw broadcasting.. this screenshot i took from the "behind-the-scenes" is just one of many examples of top-end tech gear being used in this endeavour.. .

why does this guy need harmankardon speakers when he's using cad software...and note the iphone.

this guy's a bethelite?.

$$$ bandwidth ... could this be the reaon they are buying an internet provider? it was emphasized in the letter I read about it that they are allowed to give the service free of charge to a nonprofit if they choose

I have a feeling the lawyers of watchtower will have more control over broadcast content than 700 Club attorneys do over Pat Robertson. I could be wrong.

i just got a job teaching in a school run by moderate muslims.

the students are muslim and do their prayers at school and have daily quran lessons.

my job is to teach art, english literacy and literature, and history.

Could this TV announcement be the thing that was speculated would be hard for older JW's to accept? I know my father in law seems to be getting more and more depressed and confused about this religion, yet he holds on.

i came across this video ... and watched it ... why?

i don't know really, but i found it intersting.. especially interesting was how these men used the bible, they knew their message, they used an actual hard copy bible that has obviously been studied, and the older jw man, well, he was using a tablet.

it seemed cumbersome compared to using the actual bible.

It seemed cumbersome compared to using the actual Bible. I think this tablet thing will be a fad in the ministry, it seems awkward.

I'm not really listening to the message or promoting any kind of faith here, just the experience seemed interesting. Especially towards the end ... around 20:20, the "priest" makes the distinction that his message is from the Bible, he is using the Scriptures.

Both sides keep their cool, but the JW really doesn't have a coherent message.

How about that game last night Packers 42 Vikings 10... can't help but feel a little sympathy for the Vikings ... a very brief moment of sympathy which has passed, maybe it was just heart burn ... oh well
