In the future when necessary, perhaps, but not at this time, that is how they are insisting on the closeness and urgency. Those who "discerned" 1914 (ie Fred Franz) and those who's lives overlapped with his as anointed contemporaries, so they would have been anointed before he died in 1992.

I guess her conscience always bothered her about it but with much effort I was able to convince her it was okay and they knew they shouldn't make rules about this that is why they don't mention it any more .... then came the article October 15, 2007 "Responding to Your Conscience" where the footnote in paragraph 8 refers you to w83 3/15 pp. 30-31 ... since then it is off limits and I get the "don't you care about my conscience?" anytime I make the suggestion.

I think it was a we're anointed heirs with Jesus we better give holy answers to everything anybody asks us thing ... instead of following the example of the first century older men who said we and the holy spirit wish to add no further burden to you except for these necessary things.

The current understanding though, as I understood it from the convention, is that "this generation" refers to those anointed ones who will see the great tribulation lives overlap with those who were able to discern the sign in 1914, like Fred Franz, who died in 1992, so anybody annointed before Fred Franz died would be a part of the generation that will not pass away.
The drama was not taken from a paritcular Bible account. It was a fictitious account of Christians leaving Jeruslalem after the Roman army fled in 66 C.E. and how important it was to follow Jesus words to flee immediately, it was about some getting impatient while in exile for a few years wanting to go back to Jerusalem because it was not destroyed immediately as some thought it would be so they started thinking, maybe Jehovah changed his mind like he did for Ninevah, or, we know Jerusalem will be destroyed, but perhaps it is a long way off.

day number 2 is done.. there was an audio drama, sure, it adds some excitement, hey, its different.. final talk "stay close to jehovah, as jeremiah did" ended with the release of the book ... god's word for us through jeremiah ... not a verse by verse consideration of prophecy, rather, what we can learn from jeremiah's life as a prophet, considers information from jeremiah and lamentations.
(of course informed readers of this site knew of this release already.).
noticibly missing ... jesus christ ... to me it was painfully obvious.. one talk i think was numbing our mind to accept the generation bomb tomorrow.. i couldn't help but realize that throughout the convention so far, the vast majority of scriptural references are from old testament (yes, it was hard not to say hebrew scriptures, so i just did).. i didn't realize it so much in the past, but it seems like jehovah's witnesses are trying to accomplish what the nation of israel couldn't, follow laws.

Well, there was not mass exodus after the final talk, no gasps ... it was as posted on this site.
It seemed to me, (possibly because I was aware of what was coming), that the public talk and drama laid considerable groundwork for the final talk. I thought the drama in and of itself was enjoyable and well done ... but obviously had a very controlling intention and pretty much tried to get your thinking in line to accept what would be presented in the final talk.
There seemed to be mention laced throughout both days about how family needed to treat disfellowshipped and those who left Jehovah's Organization ... more than I remember in the past ... but I may have been more sensitive to it.

There will be a full costume drama today, the audio drama was from Jonah, it is a Bible reading with sound effects to demonstrate how we should let our Bible reading come alive, use the senses to add depth.
