by wannabefree ini saw it probably 5 or 6 years ago when first coming out.. it was done by a young man, i thought his name was something like manny, but i haven't had any success with that.. it was his own personal experience leaving in a very drastic way.

Does anybody remember and/or have a link?
Thanks.

Why do girls have a hymen?
by JWchange inif you believe humans evolved, and were not created, why would having a hymen help, especially as no other mammal has one?
if you believe humans were created by {a} god, or intelligent beings with advanced technology, what was the reason for a hymen?
i'm interested to hear your thoughts on this unusual subject, not many people talk about..

Women have a hymen so they could be stoned to death by their husbands if they didn't bleed on their wedding night and it could be viewed as a righteous killing approved by the creator of the hymen. Yep. I guess that proves God is real. -

In 2003 Awake, 9/22, the article "Science Was My Religion", they used the term epoch in describing the length of a creative day ... I remember at the time appreciating the reasonableness of what I thought was clarifying their abandoning the 7,000 year creative day teaching. Maybe they published something earlier. I know several months ago when having a conversation with my wife she still thought that the creative days were 7,000 years long. Goes to show not all JW's keep up with new understanding. Follow along or Jah's chariot will leave you at the station.
"For example, the fossil record is shown to match the general sequence of the appearance of living forms described in the book of Genesis. Furthermore, a creative day as understood by the ancients can mean an epoch of extended duration, in much the same way as the terms “period” and “era” are used by science in describing earth history. Thus, the Bible is not at odds with scientific findings. It indicates that the creative days lasted aeons. It does not support the conclusion of creationists who believe that those days were each 24 hours in length."

The new brchoure
by Sabin inthe gestapo body, brought out a brochure, i believe it was called return to jehovah.
in it they gave 3 reasons why some-one left the borganization.
if i remember 1 was because the person is angry at some one in the cong, or something along those lines.

2 John 10
by What Now? injust looking for some rebuttals to 2 john 10, specifically when it comes to shunning family.
we essentially admitted to our families that we do not want to raise our kids as witnesses and do not believe what jehovah's witnesses teach.
predictably, they use 2 john 10 to justify shunning us, specifically the portion of the verse where it says "if anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your homes or say a greeting to him".. since we are apostates (according to the jw definition), and no longer "bring this teaching", would our family be correct in interpreting this verse to mean that they should shun us?.

It doesn't matter what they should do or what the context or technicality may be. The Watchtower does the interpreting and they are the only ones with the authority to understand or explain scripture to the JW.
