I think the strangest thing that Witnesses do with death is wishing their "worldly" family members would die so that they can be in the paradise. After all, death pays for their sins, right?

Weird JW response to death?
by serenitynow! inso i just learned on another thread that there are adults who have never been to a funeral, not that that's a bad thing.
makes me wonder because i got dragged to one at 6, and i still remember how i felt, what song we sang- and who i was sitting next to (an adult, not my mother for some reason) who helped me to stand up to sing the song because i was so distraught.
is it a jw thing to make kids go to funerals?.

VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION!!!!
by brotherdan inso i was talking to one of my "apologist" friends, and he just got back from a mormon outreach mission in utah.
he was able to help a 17 year old mormon girl to begin to see the truth and was really excited about it.
he goes to these temple conventions and temple openings all the time to preach jesus to them.. so he was interested in doing that at a jw convention.

Cameo...I think we are going to be talking alot... :-) No one is claiming to have the "truth", except the truth of Jesus. And the whole part about "being sly" is because you can't come straight at someone that is in a mind control cult.

I agree that they are not looking. So what might catch their eye, even if they are not actively seeking? Something that could cause them to pause and think....?

So I was talking to one of my "apologist" friends, and he just got back from a mormon outreach mission in Utah. He was able to help a 17 year old Mormon girl to begin to see the truth and was really excited about it. He goes to these temple conventions and temple openings all the time to preach Jesus to them.
So he was interested in doing that at a JW convention. I told him that that wouldn't be very productive. Witnesses will NOT talk to you around other Witnesses because they view you as an apostate. He asked, "What if I had a sign with a happy face that said, "HappyXJW.com" would they go to the site? After all...we are happy!" I told him no they normally wouldn't because of their fear of "apostates".
He asked what would be a useful domain name that may get JW attention. I told him that I'd ask all you guys.
What do you think? Do you think something straight forward would get a JW to go to the site, or something sly? Any ideas about what might work? It wouldn't just be some sort of JW bashing site, but a site designed to bring them to Christ.

Does God Have A Visible Organization Today?
by wannabe indoes god have a visible organization today?.
well, whether we agree with them or not, the governing body of jehovah's witnesses certainly believes he does have, and they tell us, that the watchtower bible and tract society is that visible organization.
as we see, they also tell us that their watchtower society is the channel or instrument through which the spiritual food is delivered to other members of the household.. 1939 "we acknowledge as the visible organization of jehovah on earth the watchtower bible & tract society, and recognize the society as the channel or instrument through which jehovah and christ jesus give instruction and meat in due season to the household of faith.
