I went up and grabbed dinner real quick a few times without dressing up. Wow...no quicker way to get the stink eye from the HOLY HOLY HOLY bethelites!!!

Also, here is a thing that was always annoying to me.
There was Breakfast, Supper, and Dinner. WHY COULD THEY NOT JUST CALL IT LUNCH!!!!!
Who calls lunch "Supper"?

I usually used the commissary to buy frozen food for dinner. It got REALLY annoying to get dressed in a suit just to go upstairs to "glean" food. So my commissary use was usually due to laziness.
I didn't have a car at bethel so it was hard to get to the store. So I was dependent on the commissary. But I always found a way to get beer. Bethel FLOWS with alcohol. It's the only way to cope! I'm surprised they didn't sell it in the commissary.
And yes, most bethelites have microwaves. Bethel does not supply them, so you have to buy your own.

I mean "care" in the sense that the opinions of others can not influence you if they disagree with your firmly held preconceptions.
And that shows that you don't know me. I may not come across that way, but I am influenced very much by others. I've come to different conclusions, but you have no idea how much I think about the opinions, views, and beliefs of others on this site.

You are if you make others believe that it is a TRUE story. Jesus called Himself THE TRUTH. He made it clear when He was using parables. But when He refered to OT accounts, He was stating them as if they were facts. That is not perfectly silly.

Cheeze, that's what I'm saying. You and I agree completely on this point. If the writers WERE putting words in Jesus mouth, then why would I believe ANYTHING they wrote? If the OT is full of lies and is upheld by the NT, then I reject the entire Bible and move on.

You're narrow-minded and you call it being logical and accepting things that make sense.
That wasn't very nice. I do care what others think and believe and try to respect that. But if I'm debating then I'm going to voice my opinion if I think you're wrong.

EVERYTHING is perfect at bethel, QuestioningEverything. At least on the surface. That is the facade that they want you to believe. And JWs fall for it everytime. They "ooohhh" and "ahhhh" over how clean and perfect everything is. Never mind the masturbating porn addicted bethelite behind closed doors. This is the spiritual paradise!!!

But all indications show that Jesus took those stories as literal. He refered to them specifically. So if those stories were not true then Jesus was perpetuating a lie.
