  Is it true that some non-christians hold values that are different from some christians? Yes it is. Is it true that some christians molest kids? Yes. Do ALL non-christians not practice the golden rule? Of course not. There are some AMAZING non-christians. Do ALL christians molest kids? Of course not.

  I'm trying to peddle bullshit by encouraging someone to study up on one of the social sciences? Are you really that thick Outlaw? Peddling bullshit?!? It's clear you don't understand basic principles of sociology and the concept of sterotyping. If you have something intelligent to say that is contrary to what I say, say it. Maybe I'm wrong and stereotyping should be ok. But use some intelligence. Your spouting off hateful insults does not reinforce your point at all.

  Wobble, Jesus existed before he was a human. So yes, he was the originator of love. God IS love. But I digress as well.

  I think I've said all I need to on this post. Sorry for stepping on some toes. I just believe in love over hate. And even if that "hate" comes in the form of stereotyping people (the majority of which you've never met), I'm against it. Why is love not hate something to argue about? Shouldn't that be all of our foundations?

  If I see hate going on, yes I will encourage love. So sorry, finally-free. The value of love is not something to personally hold and not share with others. It's something that AS HUMANS we all should strive to exercise more of.

  Bitter bitter bitter. Why are you so angry? Where did I judge anyone that disagrees with me?

  Aren't you judging me for judging you? We can go around in circles by accusing each other.

  Also, how have I shown an inability to speak truthfully on a subject? What lie or untruth have I told? Maybe comparing stereotyping an entire group to racism was a stretch, but stereotyping is what it is. It's not a lie.

  Oh Bohm. Twisting words. Do you understand the concept of "tendency" or a noticable "trend". You CAN wrap an idea around sometimes to say that it is not true of all people.

  Bohm, those are not stereotypes. If I said "People that claim to be Christian sexually molest kids", that is a stereotype. Maybe you need to take a sociology class or read a book on stereotyping. I can recommend some good ones. It really is a facinating subject.

  I don't mind negative thoughts about specific people. Just not an overall group. I have negative thoughts about you Minimus. :-) No blinders there.

  Wobble, you can call my analogies false, and maybe they weren't the best ones. But my point has mainly been about stereotyping in general. That's all.

  Bohm, I'm not stereotyping atheists at all. Read my posts. I'm saying that it is NOT ok to stereotype them. There are MANY wonderful atheists that I care about, and we are able to disagree with respect for one another. But by calling VICTIMS names, that is not following the golden rule and seems to me to be counter productive. It's not encouraging others to help them to see where they are mislead. It tends to cause others to feel superior. It tends to cause others to develope even more negative feelings towards the group.

  All of you know that I am 100% against the WT society. But I also know that the people that believe it have been fooled. This doesn't make them any less intelligent than any of us that believe something that is eventually proven false. Instead of calling them names, let's focus more on what we can do to help them to see where they are wrong.

  I didn't say I was better than anyone. We're talking values here. The value of love is higher than the value of hate. If you want controversy, I'll give it to you.

  Jesus is better than you, Minimus. He's better than outlaw. He's better than me and all of you. So when He teaches people to have love for each other, that is the best policy to live by.

  Funny, some people will give people like John Lennon and Bob Marley great respect because of their preaching love. Yet, some of those same poeple will not give the same respect to the originator of this teaching, Jesus Christ.

  Ok, so go and redicule me for my Christian spouting, I don't really mind it.

  By this example I was talking about the Nazi party and it's leadership. Not all the german people. But I see where you are coming from. I'm just 100% against stereotypes. But if you think it's ok, go for it. I just thought the name calling on this post tended to be directed at individuals instead of the authority structure.

  If I am taught to treat other people in a kind fashion, and you are taught to treat someone unkind, are my values higher than yours? Yes. Your philosophy falls apart when you think about it. There are things that are right and things that are wrong. Murder is wrong. Love is right. Love is better than murder. Seriously, your twisty unreasoning philosophy is silly. The value of love is higher than the value of hate. It's called in the bible "the law of the heart". Certain values are present in all of us from the time of birth.
