one more topic.. my wife just called up to tell me that she was over my parents before a doctor's visit, chatting with my mother, when my crazed jw father threw my small 14 year old brother down the stairs and punched him for not wanting to study.. i've been beat, thrown down stairs, had potted plants thrown at me, chased around the house, and such, for not wanting to do the family study.. this is what the "truth" does to people, all you loyal jw's....take note...... (i'm so angry i'm shaking).

i remember the same thing.

i was 14. i was restricted for 1and a half years, because i sometimes wore cords to the meetings.

noone told me, till i asked and because i just assumed they were very good guys took me,,,

you guessed it 1 and a half years.

nice to hear from you dhook. i hope to find a group someday that i can get behind.

to me the bible is still very important. perhaps in coming hear you mistook what the majority feel.

without insulting anyone. the world is full of different people. only a small amount will care about
the bible.

in the "truth" the same applies. we all know about such ones when we were going to meetings.

it would seem to me that searching exwitnesses was exactly the wrong kind of place to seek
commited cristians on masse. since most here have at least for a time been very angry at any
religious notion. any many left exactly because they didnt beleive in god.

of course many here are very interested in religion (many, much more than me).
perhaps they will form up and make a new religion.

i hope you find an answer to your questions. i havent.

anyway i wish i wrote my mixed feelings about the wtbts as well as you do.

my kids recently met my older brother.

they took photo's.

i had forgotten that they'd seen him and i was thumbing thru my daughter's pictures and came across a picture of my brother with my daugher and one with my son.
