  A DAMM FINE IDEA

  i was just re-reading coc by ray franz, and had an idea.

  as a jw i was allways concerned when the number of annointed went up in the yearly report, so this year why dont we all find halls that dont know us (if we are shy) and partake.. thousands of "new annointed" would put the shits up the society!, and the brothers!

  please tell me what you think as im quite excited anout this idea.. .

  i thought that you might enjoy seeing some pics of our anniversary night out a couple of weeks ago.. this is her ladyship and i at the start of the evening, we're just starting our second bottle of wine, a sprightly sancerre, whilst we await the arrival of our main course in the flute de paris:.

  once we'd finished in the restaurant we went back to our - youve guessed it - local pub, the waverley, already visited by 30 + apostates to date.

  he wants a cool ten million pounds, that's about $16m.. oddly, in a sky news poll, the question "would you sell her love letters for 10 million pounds?

  " has revealed that 48% of brits would do so if they had the opportunity.. the situation is further complicated by prince harry's extraordinary resemblence to hewitt, although hewitt denies that he is the lads real father.. my q is this: would you sell the letters for 10 million pounds if they were yours to sell?.

  there are always a few tender hearted, who know that shunning is stupid and keep on talking to df'd people, when no one is looking.

  are there still a few who keep on talking to you, even if you are df'd?

  i'm sure that elders wouldn't shun you if you talk to them, so why do others have to shun you?

  most of the jws i met were sincere people.

  not perfect, i have my horror stories too, but most were decent people.

  i am not discounting the horrible things i hear on this forum.

  When the IRA bombed my family out of our home, we moved with nothing to Canada. We arrived in minus 15 weather in Feb. My brother and sis were wearing t shirts, and my dad didnt have a coat.

  the JWs gave us everything, we were fed and clothed by those wonderfull people. Later when i major chemical spill, forced us to leave our home for days, we stayed at the assembly hall in the sick room.

  Sadly to many other things happened to make me sick of the jws, and i will not set foot in a hall again unless im at a funeral.

  But your right, like all other humans, they are full (sometimes) of love, and human feeling.

  To all who say they never noticed anything like that think, when you were a witness did tyou ignore the suffering of people ? if you didnt, then you did see nice jws caring for others!

  Shunning (again!)

  elswhere recently started a thread about shunning and i noted that at least ninety per cent of the posters to the thread were from the u.s.of a. and canada and they had had some bad experiences with the problem.. why should this be significant ?.

  well it seems to me that the shunning problem in america is far worse than here in the u.k. i know of several persons who have been dissed but i am not aware that shunning is a serious issue for them.

  can anyone tell me if shunning causes less of a problem here in the u.k. than it does other places in the world, and if so why?.

  You noticed something i beleive to be true. Ive lived in Canada and th UK and agree that AT PRESENT its tougher in the states, and Canada. however they just did a new kingdom ministry about dffd relatives, and how we should treat them, it is getting more like our neighbours.

  as one who shunned his own sister for 10 years, after myfather kicked her out of our home when she was 17 years old i can tell you it has been just as bad in the past, and will be in the future.
