i remembered a jw who worked on installing computers at london bethel, some time ago telling me that the wt did monitor websites.
this jw is gradually fading away from being one, so can't say to much about him.
I have a tracker on Myspace, that gives me all that info also, so it can be done!
Of course it can. I just wanted folks to know that it can be done here as well. Not only can you 'tag' everyone who reads the threads, you CAN also figure out which IP addresses belong to which posters. For anyone who says it's bunk, you're not doing anyone any favors.

There is no (easy automated) way, if someone has embedded an ip-tracking image in this page say, to tell who is a poster and who is just reading the page, and it's certainly not possible to tell that skeptic2 is this ip address and so-and-so is that ip address.
Umm, that's incorrect. Would you like me to start a thread to prove it? A while back, I showed in a thread that it is entirely possible to track a particular person's IP address. In fact, reply to this post and I'll give you your IP address in a PM.
It is disingenuous to say that someone cannot be tracked on this board. It is a fact that they can. Most posters could even be narrowed down to a specific city in which they live via their IP address. If that scares some people, then you need to look into using a proxy to surf this site.

Not only that, but even the WT is elevated above the Awake in terms of spiritual food. My mother once told me after I referred her to an Awake on something-or-other, that the Awake is more or less reserved for worldly people to get an overall grasp on the jw's and that it is not meant to distribute the real hard hitting doctrines that we know of today. So basically in a nutshell, if a particular doctrine is addressed in the Awake, just ignore it. The real meaning will appear in a WT instead.
Oh, and you can ignore what the bible says on the matter too....

I can't remember how long ago it was, but I believe there was an article in a KM or WT about having jw's use the phrase, "The Society says..." It basically told the r&f not to use that phrase but instead substitute "The bible says..." I think the reason it gave was to show householders, relatives, etc. that we teach from the bible, and not from the WTS literature(which is incorrect, but the r&f went along with the reasoning anyway).

i remember going to each memorial even when i was inactive.
i felt that i had to go to atleast that meeting.. then one year, i was sick on that day, and didn't go to the memorial.
it was a funny feeling to miss the most important day of the year, as a jw would call it.. but i got used to it, when i missed my 2nd and 3rd memorial..
I remember that it was on a Thursday and that is one of my volleyball nights.
"How did you feel?" I think I was a little tired and sweaty. It also gave me a chance to look around to see who was missing that night from vb. 'Cause we all know if there were any jw's that play there....well, you get my drift.

I hadn't noticed before(or read about) this Reibling Foundation. A few searches here and there turned up a couple of interesting finds. The first thing I noticed was that this particular Foundation could not be found anywhere on the web - absolutely no mention of it. Secondly, the only website that closely ties the Reibling Foundation with the WTS is here. A program entitled, "Confront: Resistance in Nazi Germany" was held at Boston College in April of 2002. Guess who attended this conference? James Pellechia of the WTS. The sponsor page of this website lists the WTS as an outside contributor and a Lorenz Reibling as an individual contributor. It also shows a Taurus Investment Holdings as a corporate contributor. Lorenz Reibling just happens to be the co-founder of Taurus Investment Holdings. TIH specializes in commercial real estate.
Like I said, this probably isn't anything. But I just thought it was odd that this Reibling Foundation was listed on the Knocking website but a search for this Foundation turned up nothing. I wonder if this Lorenz Reibling, and his brother, are jw's? If you look at their bio's on the TIH website, you could easily say that they could pass as jw's.
