  My Dad's funeral was yesterday

  last sunday, my dad passed away at age 76. he knew since last april that he had cancer.

  his funeral was yesterday afternoon.

  many friends and family members attended.

  OK, now I've really been turned off. Rare Treat, a.k.a. Kool Aid Man06 (just look at the IP address hashes and the account creation dates), now tries to play the 'outside perspective' card by telling us:

  I saw the trailer and i saw a good portion of the website, it is fantastic!!! It is the most graphically animated and thought provoking website exposing the Watchtower organization! Perhaps the scary undertones, and shocking audio and video clips will get the attention of 'card-carrying' Witnesses. This website will obviously get the attention of the Watchtower Organization! Although it won't be released until January, It's definetely going in my favorites! By the way, the 'sex witch' is not who you think it is.

  No doubt you created "the trailer" and "a good portion of the website." Why do you need to come here to hype your site and pretend to be someone else presenting an unbiased view? Now that I think of it, Danny H. cannot be behind this site. If he is, I am disappointed. I always thought of DH as having the upfront honesty and *balls* for coming out and saying what he thinks and puts up on his personal website without hiding behind multiple screen names. Regarding the "sex witch"...Who is the "Brother Rogers" that the woman refers to? My guess is this video clip was made with the Blair Witch movie style in mind?? I don't know what it's all about, but if it will turn me off, guess what it will do to your ordinary witness? I think I might need to retract my earlier comments.

  I also understand that the developers intent on the site is to help active Jehovah's Witnesses find out the truth about the Watchtower.

  Please take my previous and now current criticism as respect of your undertaking. After viewing much of the imagery and listening to the soundbites that are on the site, I would have to say that any active JW will immediately be "scared" of your site. If your plan is to reach any jw who is honestly searching for the truth about the truth, then I would have to say that your site will not appeal to your planned target audience. The first thing that came to my mind was Halloween/Twilight Zone. And as you know, JW's turn their heads away very quickly when such material is shown to them. Even though the base material itself is sound, the theme appears to miss your target audience.

  Again, I'm not knocking your website design(cuz I see that a lot of work went into it), but rather, the theme may be a little to out-there for your r&f jw who is looking for the truth about the truth.

  Yep, someone is watching this thread. Now they have blocked all access to the site until they figure out how to cloak everything below the public_html directory.

  Just remember SSotW Owner, turn off indexing and insert index.htm[l] files into your directories. It should be safe to reopen once again after you do that.

  Ahhh, I was wondering who would figure it out first. Did you try images? Quite a bit more there.

  ***To whoever owns the site, you might think about turning off indexing and/or throwing a blank index.html file into your directories. That way when someone drops word of your website, some people will not be able to get a sneak preview of what's in store.

  And it's going to do some serious damage to the Society when it comes out.

  Sorry to say this min, but if the other 1,000 anti-WT sites haven't done much damage to the WTS over the course of a decade, I'm afraid the content of this site won't either. Sure, it is one more hit on the web search results, but in the short term, it doesn't really address anything new.

  What did you browse I didn't see any links.

  Just because a site lacks "links," does not mean that you cannot browse the site.

  Let me run down the basic themes incorporated into the site:

  • Blood
  • Mistranslation of the Bible(specifically Greek) by the WTS
  • Cross vs. Stake
  • Subliminal images
  • 1914
  • Occult connections
  • What the hell is a/the Sex Witch???

  Like I mentioned previously, much of the content has been reclothed with a sort of occult/halloween/twilight zone feel to it. I guess we'll have to wait and see how the final product turns out.

  Well, I happened to browse through quite a bit of the material contained on the site and have to say that a lot of it already exists out there on the web. This site simply "dresses" it up just a tad. It has a few old recordings from DC talks, quotes from books and mags, Mantey's disapproval of the NWT, and a few other weird items. When I say weird, you'll see what I mean.

  Someone definitely put a lot of work into the site though.
