you mean, Mulan, in all those years of faithful D to D you didn't have anyone come to the door nakid???
come on, fess up.
I think its great they joked about it on TV.
did anyone watch "the nanny reunion show" on monday night?.
it was hilarious.
i watched that show quite a bit when it was on, but totally missed this one that they talked about and showed clips from.. it seems fran's mother, played by renee taylor (pretty heavy middle aged woman), was having problems with her husband not being romantic with her.

i have seen quite a few posts from many ex-jw women about how unhappy they were about male domination in congregation.
was it really that bad?
when i was still a jw, no one ever told me anything to that effect.
I tried to not demean them
still rotflmao even more!!!! *tears running down my eyes*
You have no clue.
hey everybody!!.
just want to say hi and join in on the conversations.
i've been lurking here and trying to log on for months now.
I ride a Santa Cruz Heckler
ahhh, got it.
One of my sons is a bicycle mechanic. He has a cute montain bike thingie where his hitch goes. lol He participated in a 12 hour mountain bike event (yes here in Florida). It was a 12 mile loop through the woods and swamps of florida. Long grueling event. Went from 10 am to 10 pm But it was fun to watch, volunteer and encourage the riders.
BTW, we have the Ironman in our town every year and the running part goes right down our street. Front row seats!! whoohoo

Tammy,
I think toppleing the WTBTs is a grandioso idea. The Catholic Church has been around for ummmm...you add it up....with all their atrocities.
Little by little, telling people about the control of the JWs will help alert people not become involved with them.
BTW, when did you start believing their statistics?? You know they are padded and just what they want the R & F and world to believe.
Just remember you are free and that is great. People will be people and some are just drawn to being under mind control. Well, not drawn, but still they enjoy that box.
*shrugs shoulders*

i was just thinking the other day, about what jesus said concerning the end of the system of things.
he said that, "no one knows the day or the hour...but only the father.".
there are two units of measurement - day and hour.
Remember the first thing Jesus said was: "Don't be fooled (or mislead, forgot the NWT version)"
iam very new to this forum.
so glad to meet all of you.
ive been reading here for quite a while but never felt the need to join in.
I wish organized religion never existed.
Amen!
psst, FYI, those on the GB are annointed.(or I used to say "profess to be of the annointed, *snort*) Yes even the new ones. The Given Ones? are not of the annointed and sit in on the GB meetings, you know, to help when the old ones can't make decisions and I'm sure to take over when the Annointed Ones? are gone on to their heavenly calling. *snicker*
The different branches of the organizations (mini organizations) are run by many just plain ole JW Bethel elders. Poor things, they will all be listed as responsible when lawsuits hit the WTBTs.
ok, carry on.

Being a JW Woman - Was It Really That Bad?
ROTFLMFAO!!!
i sent a pm to one of the forum assistants telling him this, and he said i should post and let everyone know how it went.. i didn't want to do this until mario posted first, because it's about his daughter, not mine.
but, i know all you wonderful people out there are waiting for some news on the memorial service, and i think mario is too grief stricken to be able to write right now.
sometimes these things hit you harder after it's all over, because now you have more time to think about it.
Thank you Hubert for going and knowing all of would have wanted to be there, too.
May Talia rest in peace and may her family eventually have warm, soft memories of her short life on earth.
Hugs & tears,
Joy
