After Zev brought this info to our attention here on JWD, I shared it with my JW brother. He said he noticed since the WT withdrew their NGO status that the little "Watching the World" statements about the UN quit. I quess they were using that area of the magazine to "promote" good things about the UN, thus in compliance with their NGO status.

by vitty inafter being in the org for 20 years, being regular at every meeting.
i must have sung the songs hundreds of times, but i cant sing the first line of any song off by heart..
i asked my husband, kids if they could, they also cant.. can you?.

yes, but don't want to wake those memory cells. They are doing quite nicely not bothering me anymore.
BTW, did you know, the songs in the songbook were in Alphabetical order. The first word of the song is what they went by, not the titles. (silly, nonsense, info, but thought you would like to know)

DA'ing coming up, to speak out now or not?
by meat pie inhi there, i know its up to me in the end, but just wondering, what would most of you do?
my da'ing could be tonight, should i take the opportunity (before they can no longer speak to me ) to tell a few jw's that i am being da'd for telling the truth, or not to bother.
does it matter anyway.

I don't have an answer for you about talking to your JW/partime/friend but don't we all wake up at our time schedule? You may want to ring her and tell her she's not responsible for whatever announcement the elders give (the elders are). And since you don't recongize the silly authority the WTBTs thinks it has over you, then whatever silly announcement they make is their silly rules.

i start to look around and i realize that it is the same people every week who go to the back to sit in the second school.

I've found it helpful to cut a few pages out of IN SEARCH OF CHRISTIAN FREEDOM & read them during the meeting.
well, I just covered the book with a bible cover from walmart and read it during the meetings. Same with CoC. No one really pays attention to ya at the meetings. They are all worried about what they are going to say to impress everyone else at the meetings.

How many ex-jw's that are christians now believe jews are going to hell?
by booker-t inmy born-again christian friend that help me leave the wts is devoted to telling jews that they are going to hell for not believing in jesus christ.
i tell him all the time that i believe that jehovah and jesus going to save jews if their worship is sincere.
he insist that jews and anybody that is not a born-again christian is going to burn in hell for eternity.

Vigil for my daughter, please.
by outnfree inas mentioned in my other thread, my daughter lena is having brainsurgery on monday, jan 24. the surgery will last 6-7 hours, so i'm hoping the board members will be willing to make a special effort tomorrow to send positive thoughts, healing energy, good wishes and prayers her way.
we are asking that the surgeon's hands be delicate and skillful and that lena does not bleed overmuch and that brain damage be minimal (if not non-existant).
surgery begins at 8 am eastern standard time (us), but we have to have her to the hospital by 6 am, so this is "good night!
