Where Are You From?

The real identity of the F&DS revealed...any news yet?

“These men are no longer free from accusation and neither do they have a fine testimony even from people on the outside of the congregation. They are no longer blameless.

Because they say so... in the April 2010 WT, and more so in the July 2010 study articles, the claim is specifically made that changes in teachings are made by Holy Spirit:
- When the time comes to clarify a spiritual matter in our day, Holy Spirit helps responsible representatives of “the faithful and discreet slave” at world headquarters to discern deep truths that were not previously understood. (Matt. 24:45; 1 Cor. 2:13) The Governing Body as a whole considers adjusted explanations. (Acts 15:6) What they learn, they publish for the benefit of all. (Matt.10:27) As time goes on, further clarifications may be needed, and these too are honestly explained.

Are you sick of conspiracy nuts?.....9/11
by Witness 007 inyes apparently the staff at the twin towers on 9/11 didn't notice the explosives strapped to all the beams on each floor......of course a plane fully loaded with jet fuel going so fast it nearly flew through the building {blew out the otherside} would not be enough to cause a collapse.
the building were glowing red!
people jumped due to the heat and smoke.

Really...look at us....ready to do battle with each other over something we have or had no control over. There is something not reasonably right about 911, that much I know, but---What is it?--Who knows...However, let me have all the info surrounding the event so I can decide what appears to be true or more true (if that's possible). DON'T HOLD BACK INFOMATION...you know as well as I that information is 'always' held back. Just take a glance at history and you will see or look at the judicial system in your country.

Well when you start calling people or groups names...I look at you as the one trying to mislead me.Why?
Because you have done what many accuse the Wt and others of doing, and that is, using control words to lead people’s thoughts to yours----by saying they are NUTS or as some have, combined CONSPIRACY and THERORY together… you are discounting what is being said…there by attempting to stop the readers or hearers (mind) from thinking or processing the info on their own.
You plant a seed of doubt from the start.

GOD’S WORD identifies anointed Christians who are caring for Christ’s interests on earth as “the faithful and discreet slave.” When Christ inspected the “slave” in 1918, he found those anointed ones on earth to be faithful in providing spiritual “food at the proper time.” Hence, Jesus, the Master, was pleased thereafter to appoint them “over all his belongings.” (Read Matthew 24:45-47.) In this way, before receiving a heavenly inheritance, anointed ones serve other worshippers of Jehovah here on earth.(highlights mine)

Higher Education and Disqualification for Privileges in the Congregation
by 00DAD inwhen i was still serving as an elder in the late summer of 2006 in a congregation of jws in socal we received a letter from the "christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses" (read: the governing body) directing that anyone pursuing a higher education would be disqualified from privileges of service: elder, servant, pioneer, etc.
i remember this quite distinctly because i had just received by ba in education in june a few months before this.
in 2002, i had decided to pursue a degree under the society's then current "it's a personal decision" policy and was quite shocked at their drastic policy change.

I have yet to see anyone earn beyond a normal living wage by getting a college degree.
Not in this economy.
SO am I reading correctly between your lines....and should not get a education for when the job market does improve?

1-year anniversary on this forum

i've just noticed that i've been on this forum for a whole year... it's incredible how time flys after escaping the wt's control.... i don't really know what to say at a time like this... except that i have grown to appreciate all kinds of people and i have healed completely thanks to many of you on this forum (like dog patch, barbara, jw facts, terry, marvin shilmer, sizemik, mad sweeney, doug mason and many others that have escaped my memory).... and how can i forget to thank outlaw and punkofnice for adding their humor to it all.... anyway, thanks everyone... i'm a much better person today because of you and i appreciate it very much....
